This morning I'm finally off to pick up my first big bike due to working not had the chance to look. Its 09 Kawasaki er6f with only 7.5k Miles on clock.

Can anyone give me tips on how best to strap the bike in the back of van. Ie strap points. I've looked at a few YouTube videos but wondering if anyone on here can give advice

2 forward left and right, 2 rear left and right pulling sideways and against the others, front wheel against bulkhead, wheel turned, side stand down.

You want straps high and pulling against each other, small ratchet straps are cheap and easy to tension.

Only advice I can offer is you cannot have too many straps and strap it with a crossover pattern ie front to back and back to front, but no idea where the best strapping points are so maybe a bit of trial and error to get the best fit.

And make sure the straps are tight enough to put some load into the suspension. Otherwise the bike's weight bouncing in the van can work the straps loose. No need to overdo it, but you want the suspension to not bounce whilst moving.

Thanks guys I got it back fine. I pushed bike to bulkhead of van tied on the brake. Put a pillow between bike and side of van and ratchet strapped the rear grab handles to anchor points either side of van. Worked a treat didn't move an inch on the 63 mile drive back

I'm pretty confident mine would stay put if the van was turned upside down 😁

Glad it's back safe 👍
