Inherited an old motorbike - is it worth anything?

Grateful for your advice!

 

I’ve recently bought a property and there was a bike left in the garden. I know it’s been left outside for at least 15 years. Would appreciate it if you could let me know if it has any value, or should I just get someone to take it away as part of rubbish removals

It's bound to be of value to someone, but I have just looked on the DVLA database to see what it is via the reg no, but nothing is showing up

Look on side of engine somewhere it will have some numbers followed by cm3 . This is engine size ie 200cc 250 cc

Don't just scrap it. Someone wanting a project will have a look at it. Much depends on what is there and what is missing, and if the engine is seized.

 

At the very least stick it on ebay with a low starting price and see what you get. If you can check if the engine turns that would be helpful. Plenty of photos should enable anyone interested to work out what is missing.

 

Whereabout are you? Someone might be willing to take a look at it for you.

250 dream lovely bikes a much better bike than the Superdream even with only 5 gears, looked much better, suited the performance. mate had one, lovely comfy seat.

Thanks all for your replies. I'm in North London if there's anyone local who would like to have a look. Will take some more pictures also

It's very very far gone . It would cost far more to restore than anyone would ever get back for it . I like the challenge of restoring bikes that have seen better days but there is very little of use left there . Stick it on a Hipster / Cafe Racer FB page and ask a grand for it .

Thanks, I did wonder as I know it's been exposed to the elements for a number of years. Will see if I can find someone local to take a look.
