Moths .

Well I've been riding for a year or two but never have I seen anything like this before . My helmet and the front of the bike are plastered in tiny white smudges that suggests I have been bombarded by tiny moths . Either I rode through a swarm of these things or they are everywhere . Weird or what ?

Just come back from Brands Hatch where the entire viewing areas including the pits were swarming with these tiny white flying things. Thought it was ash from a bonfire as they were so small and numerous.

I remember one night in the south of France, returning to our campsite. we saw moths all right, a blizzard of them. isn't that right @bonio

Went out for a couple of hours today - those bloody things were all over the place, loads squashed on screen & visor plus I’m sure I swallowed a fair few calories of the b’stards.

Little floaty white things too stupid to get out of the way.

Another one been spattered after a ride around Mid Wales yesterday. On my RT it's not unusual for the screen to get splattered, it what a screen does on a big tourer, but when I got home I did think, blimey, that looks the aftermath on a battle field. I cleaned the bike before I read this, but yes, a lot of the 'bugs' were small white splats.

It's this sudden warm weather. Our garden was swarmed by ladybirds yesterday, literally thousands of them.

Yes, that's right. It was at night, we were going along a narrow road, tight hairpins. And thousands and thousands of moths, lit up like fireflies in the headlamp beam. Proper blizzard.
