Yes, seems to be a fairly universal opinion that they are generally a bunch of ( insert expletive of your choice).

I'm lucky I guess, I had a reasonable experience with Markerstudy when my bike was nicked. They paid up (not as much as I would have liked, mind) and I had the money 14 days after the theft. I guess it's a lot more straightforward when there's a total loss.
