Anyone been on a tour of Iceland?

Not yet. I have thought about it, and it would certainly suit the KTM, but If I have to travel to Denmark for the Ferry I would rather head back to Norway.

I just got back from Iceland a few of weeks ago.  Not on a bike sadly.

 

Second time going. Me and the Wife love it there. Expensive though! Think we worked out a can of coke was around £3

Roads might be a bit dodgy for a bike though!!  This happened a couple of days after we got back. We were actually in that car park a week before!!

Interesting to see how much info there is about touring Iceland on the Internet. Looks really good but the big issue must be getting your bike over there unless you rent locally.

I'll see what I can find out whilst I'm out there, as it looks like I'm heading out there on the 20th for a project. Will report back with what I find.

Definitely on our list, almost made it but COVID fecked that up, I want to go in winter, the wife wants to go in summer  

 

There are a few apps that tell you what's on offer in bars and restaurants barhopp is or was one there are others and do use them, they can save you a small fortune.

 

The prices don't really put us off, it's expensive and you know that before you go.

Most of Scandinavia is expensive and  so far it hasn't stopped me from going there. Finland and Iceland are the last 2 to visit. Norway is the only one I've done on a bike though.

Norway will be on the cards once the boat is running that way again. I want to head up to Nordkapp, but that on a bike alone would be best part of a months holiday to take.

It would. I got as far as Trondheim before I had to turn back.

Ran out of time. If I'd no time limit I'd have kept ggoing.i didn't have a destination when I started and meandered around a lot of southern Norway.

I don't think that trip to Nordkapp is one to be taken lightly. I does look remarkable, so hats off to anyone who has done it.
