Interested in buying a helmet cam to fit my HJC Rapha helmet.

Not really interested in anything expensive as its just in case someone runs into me or road rage etc. I'm not going to be uploading content to a YouTube channel etc

Seen a few Wolfgang cameras which might be suitable.

Thank you

If it’s just for that, any water proof 720p , with a battery capacity, memory card, almost any software compatible of your choice will do? Maybe an older series go pro or what ever people like these days?

There is the Drift Ghost X 1080p with loop recording, picture quality not as good as the go pro or more expensive cameras, connects to the phone using the Drift app. I used to use one on my commute

A helmet cam won't help if someone runs into the back of you! ... Why not look for a (cheap) front and rear camera that's attached to the bike?

Thanks for the suggestion but I'm getting my new bike in March and don't want anything screwing to it

I'd fit something to the bike which will turn on and off when you start and end riding will be a lot more reliable that relying on yourself to charge the batteries, fit the camera to the helmet and start the recoding.

100% Agree with the above. I bought a Innovv K3 system about four years ago, transferred it from my old bike to the new about three years ago and aside from the 3rd party SD card getting corrupted about six months ago it's worked perfectly. Dead easy to install, no drilling or bike modifications necessary and hard wired so it comes on with the ignition. It's been snowed on, rained on and baked on on 40c temperatures. They are expensive but if you can find a used one on ebay or wherever, buy it.

Things stuck to the outside of your helmet are also noisy. I hadn't really appreciated that until I took off the Sena 50R that was fitted to the side of my helmet and swapped to the built in SRL system on my Neotec II. The reduction in wind noise in my left ear was really quite significant.

That's so true. My previous helmet is used to have a Drift camera on it. Took it off and a lot quieter. With new helmet I mount the camera on the bike.
