  1. If I didn't have another 40 miles to get home, I would have ridden in, seen the £1.699 price, and ridden back out again. E5 is preferred, .gov even list it as recommended for my bike.
  2. Ha ha yes, I hadn't noticed that.
  3. East of England No. 9 Hanging Gardens Garden Centre & Tea Rooms.
  4. Hey @SkinSkinner, firstly, congratulations on your pass. There's so much choice, it will depend on style of bike, and budget. Also, your age and where you live, because insurance might be hefty. If you like the CB125 riding position, you might fancy something like the CB500x?? Bear in mind that your current 125 is structurally small, so a bigger bike maybe more comfortable just because of the size, even a sport style. So sit on as many as possible.
  5. @Bender Drinking what you earn is better than just giving it to the government.
  6. Went to grab a couple of tags today, but left it too late and only managed one. Deliberately avoided country lanes so I could just blat about on decent road surfaces, but had to deal with a lot of traffic, which I sort of enjoyed. The traffic kept me in tune with slow handling, and lots of filtering kept my wits in check. 3 hours, but only 84 miles. Unlike @Mawsley, I used my winter gloves, and regretted it, but I took my top box, and was able to stash my jacket liner when I got so bloody hot. Zumo was brilliant at telling me I didn't have much fuel left, then found a petrol station, then it even asked if I wanted to reset the fuel milage. As you can see, I tried to ride home without the GPS, but failed
  7. Get well soon @ChrisBiggsUK, hope you're back on the bike quickly.
  8. They do work very well, I wish they were "a thing" 25 years ago when I was commuting. I'm a fair weather rider now, so don't need it as much.
  9. Good morning bikers Lovely to see the sunrise whilst walking the dawg.
  10. Welcome Owen, starting at the most obvious place, so you've probably already done this but....... Have you emptied the fuel completely from the tank and filled with fresh petrol? It could simply be old petrol.
  11. A lot to be said for this, you'll have a much better time by yourself.
  12. I have two other helmets with Pinlocks, I noticed this immediately. So if your not noticing anything negative, it's all good.
  13. @bonio Sorry to hear that matey, hope the fix isn't too troublesome.
  14. Me neither, it looked clear until the light hit it at a certain angle, then I could see it was grubby between the Pinlock and the visor. Also, the Pinlock was starting to bubble. It's an old model now, superceded by the 100-6. I reckon, even though it's brand new, it must be old stock. It was fitted by Nolan. As a side note, Nolan have just changed to different distribution in the UK.
  15. BIG SHOUT OUT to Helmet City for delivering the above Pinlock to my door in just 22 hours! Free of charge too.

    New here

    Welcome @Mole
  17. I feel your pain @Fender1515. I've spent the last 4 days telling the family and planning a ride out for this afternoon. Nope, daughter wants something else done this afternoon. "You can go out for 2 hours this morning instead" she says. Clearly no idea of the mental pain that causes. I shall have to postpone.. So to answer your issue, so must you. Don't ride the marriage anywhere near that slippery biking road.
  18. Thanks for the update @laughsatcats
  19. It seems we're pretty much all in agreement. Many thanks for the replies.
  20. So, my new Nolan N100-5 fits superbly well, but as per another thread, the vision wasn't great. It turns out that I hadn't forgotten to remove the protective film, but that it was pretty grubby between the Pinlock and the visor. I removed the Pinlock to give it all a clean, but the silicon seal partly stuck to the visor, rendering it useless. I spent quite some time putting the seal back on the Pinlock, but I was left with excess, as I'd obviously stretched it a little. Helmet City are on the case, and I'm hoping they'll send a new Pinlock. With difference in clarity, I'm thinking that I won't fit it though, I barely use the bike in the winter (although, I do on crisp, dry days), and I think I'll just pop that visor open a tad, just like in the 90's/2000's. I imagine you all use Pinlock because they come with pretty much every helmet, but would you replace it?
