So, it sounds like the wire that you have connected to the brake lever live (not a great idea anyhoo) should be the wire that goes to the grip from the controller. The controller should be connected to a fused wire from the battery via a USB port.

Thanks, it's just a matter of dragging blocks into place, adding pictures, and popping text in. They have templates that you can use if you want it simple. Ignore the temptation to buy the packages, ours is done with the free version. Yes Ionos, been with them for almost 30 years, when it was very basic.

With a top box, you don't have to faff about with straps, just open the lid.

You could reduce the engine capacity and look at a GB350. £4k new, and will do everything except kill you. Have a look at YouTube reviews, especially the MCN video.
