  1. Apologies, I should have read the OP properly.
  2. Hi @wastedyears1981 Not used one myself, but I'm sure Stortsbikeshop are selling a used (returned) one on their eBay shop.
  3. I just sympathise with anyone who has to spend money.
  4. @muldoon74 Yup, that looks like a superb riide out, great pictures
  5. Can't see those pictures @muldoon74
  6. Drooling over that.
  7. Happy birthday @peatear
  8. It's a pity about the gaping cracks in a couple of them now.
  9. That's so darned helpful!
  10. Simple, not very exciting, but very satisfying, and absolutely essential. Plastic cover for the rear caliper arrived today, courtesy of Fowlers. Below is without the cover, no wonder it seized.
  11. I thought Metrosexual was bonking in the back of mum's old Austin.....
  12. @Tinkicker It's all about the greed, they'll tell you it's all about your fuel filling experience, but the feckers just want yer money, they're not content with big fuel profits.
  13. @RedBaron.Com1963 Hi Nick, I'd be very careful with older bikes and torque. If it's tight, I would leave it, use it, then check again after a reasonable mileage.
  14. Windy all day, so I waited for sundown and headed out to test my rear brake, and see what it was like with air in the tyres (once again let down by my trust in others). I only managed a mile and she conked out on me. Some kind people in a Landrover stopped to check I was OK, so I hollered through my open visor, "yes thanks, I forgot to turn the bloody fuel on" I was only out for an hour, but really enjoyed the roundabouts on the Haverhill bypass, then out towards Bury St Edmunds and back again. Lovely back brake, and great handling. Not a fan of riding in the dark, had my high beam on whilst using the unlit A roads.
  15. Do it, you know your life is incomplete without it....
  16. What a great write-up thanks. It's great to have all the adjustables, such as bars and foot rests. If it fits more people, that does of course mean more sales.
  17. @Greg Cleveland Try this. Turn phone Bluetooth off. Let headset connect to the C5. Then phone Bluetooth on and connect phone to C5
  18. Sometimes (mostly), and especially with Harley's and other big twins, it's more about the low down torque than it is about HP. High HP is really for giving your sport bike a good thrashing and actually being thrown off the back. Personally, I have an old 1200 4cyl "sport tourer" which becomes an absolute looney after 5K, I really would like something less scary, but with decent bottom end torque.
  19. Yes, it counts/matters to us, and if it makes us feel better, then why not. I manage to tell every human/not human about my bike, whether they're interested or not. Our horses think it's amazing......
  20. @smallfrowne Cheers.. It's a new bleed nipple, I measured the thread which was the same, but overall 2mm longer. There are two, one on each side of the calliper, I sussed it wasn't right when I put the vacuum pump on the inner side bleeder, and could hear air being drawn through that front one I hadn't pulled much fluid through, 10 minutes of wire brushing and poking the old bleed valves with a poking thing, and they're fully restored, very little mess swapping them over. Is your Dad using the new green machine for Germany?
  21. argggghhhhh.... Feck DPD, delivered my last parcel 500 yards up the road and signed my name to it, so I had to go find it according to the picture. Today, having paid for next day delivery, my new front brake lines have "run into a local issue"!!! I don't give a flying f*** what the pathetic problem is, just deliver it already.....
