Should have got the skateboard out! On the gender stereotyping; I agree that many people would rather pay someone else to do a simple job than get their hands dirty - just look at Halfords with their "fitting" offer - £4 odd for a wiper blade that takes less than a minute. Sex is irrelevant in that case. I'm hugely proud or Mrs Fro, she's been very successful in a male dominated field. She showed me a drone vid of one of her construction sites the other day and it's bloody massive - scores of blokes building away. Plus she can do bits and bobs to her car when it needs it however I still do them for her because I want to save her the hassle - does that make me gender prejudice or just a nice bloke? On the original subject; I'd weigh up whether my intervention was necessary and justifiable before I waded in and also if on balance I was going to come out on top. I've been in situations where I had to get stuck in even though I was almost positive I'd lose and they weren't that pleasant. A lot of people simply don't know what to do when a situation develops - if things start getting frisky a lot of people lose all sense of themselves or freeze up - I've seen it happen any number of times so they can't really be blamed. Oh, and the wife has never made me a sponge but I know I can make a decent cake. [/massive wall of text]
