  1. Buy some ACF50 and give Megawatt a PM to see if he'll be in your area.

    Bike work

How about doing a bit of basic service tuition? Oil change, chain adjustment, brake fluid and such.
  3. I agree strongly with this. I tried getting away with an ill fitting helmet once and it was a real pain - it cut in to my bonce and rattled around - all to save a few quid. If you shop around you can often find last year's model at a decent price. Helmet city and sports bike shop often stick stuff at silly prices to move them on.
  4. I read the same BBC article a while back... As a future ghost (because I'm going to haunt the shit out of some people for fun), I do wonder why current ghosts hang about in such miserable and predictable places - abandoned houses etc. Surely it'd be more comfortable and fun to hang around in Starbucks or somewhere.
  5. I'm not doubting you XTreme, there are so many quirks of physics that something such as you saw could be rationally explained.
  6. I wonder, in the case of Xtreme's Wellington for example, if it could be something at least theoretically possible such as a time ripple. On an exploration forum of which I am a member, every now and then someone confuses a bit of lenses flare with a ghostie. I guess people see what they want to see.
  7. Are you on mates rates or something? It'd cost 5x what you paid around here.
  8. Cheers Joe , the powder coating of the wheels, frame, and swingarm came to £100, think they did a good job for that price Can't complain at that price! Bloody cheap as chips. Really nice finish too!
  9. It's still worth having something like a Stop 'n Go kit, just to be on the safe side. Edit: scratch that, misread the post.
  10. Please, please, please take off your superbodge and use an oversized G-clamp. It would be so much funnier.
  11. Slow down a bit and stop your whinging!

    Hmm...

Clearly runs in the family Mark. Have you taken them to Bentwaters Cold War exhibition? You can run them round Rendlesham forest looking for aliens to knacker them out too.
  13. Dunno about the painting side but I just had my wheels blasted and powder coated. It cost £120 for the pair. If you're going that route with the frame and such you need it completely stripped so it's s great time to change out the bearings and such. With the wheels and suspension upgrades I've just done I've spent more than I did on the bike in the first place. Still got loads to do too!
  14. You could: Use a dremel to cut a slot in the top of the screw and try and wind it out with a screwdriver. Drill down the thread and use an easy-out. Weld a small nut on the top of what's left of the screw (the heat will help loosen it). Buy a new reservoir.
  15. Got enough batteries then! Primarily I want a cordless grinder so I can chop stuff up and in to the car at the steel merchant rather than fannying about getting 6m+ lengths delivered. Have you run a battery flat on it yet? How long did you get out of it?

    Overheated?

I shall do as I like hoonie! 10 mins checking something out yourself and finding the problem could save hours at the dealership.
  17. Dude, you've got way too much time on your hands!

    Overheated?

You can check the HT lead issue by wrapping it in insulating tape. That'll stop the arcing at least.
  19. I've got a 3ah already on the drill - lasts aaaaages. I've heard grinders are a bit hungry so the 5ah is probably a good move.
  20. Cheers for the review - this is on the list of things to sneak in to the garage while the wife isn't looking. Was it £220 with battery or body only?
  21. Mr Fro

    Overheated?

Sounds like vapour lock... I know you'd prefer not to do so but I'd fetch it back to the dealer.
  22. Happy Birthday Mr B. Send 'em daaaahn!
  23. Top banana! Let us know where/when you'll be racing so we can pitch up and cheer you on.
  24. Good luck mate and don't forget to acknowledge us lot when you're on the podium.
  25. Hoggs - there's a place in Luton called pitted forks that rechromes tubes and are apparently quite good. I'm down to the brass on mine so will likely be sending them off when they start leaking. Maybe we can get a bulk discount.
