  1. Cafe racer ER5? I estimate there are 7 squillion in the world as we speak. Has anyone stuck a massive great turbo on an ER5? Now THAT'S the question you should be asking!.
  2. Egyptologists have just announced the discovery of a new mummy. Analysis of the wrappings have revealed traces of chocolate and hazelnut. The mummy is believed to be the remains of the ancient King Pharaoh Rocher.

    Would you go?

I would go if the money is right.
  4. On the subject of coils... I find the length of time you can use them before the burn out varies with the fluid used. I like vanilla but that spanks a coil in 5-7 days. Mint on the other hand lasts for weeks on the same coil. When mine start to go they give me a sore throat and start to break up so I get nasty tasting black specks in my mouth. I need to try mixing my own fluid as using pre-made at £10 for 20ml isn't really saving much cash.
  5. ... And the Wheeler Dealer duo did one not that long ago.
  6. Yeah, I've done all that and still get a bit coming out. It's not as bad as the pencil type ones but is still a bit annoying.
  7. I'm doing mine at the mo too - from a single to a double. I had to run it by building control as it'll be over 30m2. You should be able to stick a flat roof on the new bit which will give you the extra head room so long as you don't go above the current apex height (assuming that's within regs). Personally, if there are no cracks or subsidence I would do the top bit out of breeze block and render - it'll be quicker and cheaper than brick and no more heavy than what's there now. I'd also stick a steel between the piers in the downstairs bit to support the floor although you'll have to knock the top block off and pad it with brick. I'm jealous of your dungeon by the way, that would make a cracking machine shop! Have a look at the building control website - all the info is there and they're not bad if you call them for advice.
  8. I'm curious... As Mr B correctly pointed out, my Kanger tank leaks a bit (very slight bit of liquid round the base). Do they all leak a bit or is is it just my poor choice in vaping gear?
  9. Happy Birthday buddy. I hope you have a good one!

    Upgrading brakes

Yep, them. They even make Tokico calipers feel half decent.
  11. Ollie my friend. That is the best thing I've seen since my auntie Mable caught her left tit in the mangle.
  12. That's the difference - I left my CB13 outside for the 2 years I had it and my ZX6r lived outside for a couple of years too and both were fine with zero anti rust prevention stuff. If I tried that with a Chinese bike the chances are it'd look like I'd stored it in the sea.

    Upgrading brakes

You only really need to think about lines after a good few years when they start to give a little. Swapping out the pads for quality items can make a world of difference and it's quick, easy and relatively cheap.
  14. I'm with Bob - I'd be checking fuses and wiring.

    Carb balancer

That's a good point. I'll buzz them up when I get a mo. Thanks chaps.

    Carb balancer

Maybe I got the Friday afternoon one! The sliders don't run smoothly in the guides any more so I can't trust it - I have to keep swapping the hoses around to have any confidence in it.

    Carb balancer

Hi dudes, I'm in the market for a new carb balancer. I have a Morgan Carbtune already (the old slidy rod job) and it's not the best thing in the world - you have to get it in exactly the right position for the rods to jiggle up and down correctly. I've also got a pair or identical vacuum gauges which don't read the same even though I've calibrated them! Can anyone give me a recommendation for a quality set that's reliable and easy to use? Cheers, Fro

    Short levers

Nothing wrong with the cheapie Chinese levers. I have them and they're tip top.
  19. What's wrong? If you can get it to Stowmarket I highly recommend MCT Suspension.
  20. I've sold a few vehicles on Gumtree. They went within a week or two but you do get lots of time wasters.
  21. Introducing the exciting new weight control formula: "I'm all shit up"!
  22. As a fellow scientist, I can say without doubt that you're on to a winner with this one. While we're on Mellieisms, I think we should bring back "Thank w**k Arse Tits Monday".
  23. Looking good! What did you do to clean up the engine? Toothbrush, pressure washer, strip down...?
  24. Is it getting expensive yet?
