  1. Still looks great today, a very iconic classic, from this era I think as a work of art I’d have the Ducati, to actually ride, I’d rather an RC45.
  2. I disagree about the emissions a 600 cc V4 going to a 15/16k redline, similar to the old Honda VFR/RVF 400s is going to emit a much nicer sound than a 660cc parallel twin .

A boa constrictor would work wonders, although probably not at this time of year.
  4. Doesn’t really appeal to me, looks a bit cheaply made and parts bin compared to its big brother. Why didn’t they go all out and make a super sport 600 baby V4.
  5. Great bikes!, I had an earlier one and was really good, I found you could just get on it and feel at home right away, really inspired confidence.
  6. I tend to at all bikes including 125s, nothing wrong with riding a 125.
  7. Has anyone got the iPhone 12 Pro yet?, I’m sort of considering an upgrade, just wondering if it’s worth bothering really.
  8. maps? Is that an app? Available from the Ordnance Survey App Store!.
  9. If you want a pickup go for the Hilux, really is the best of the bunch. Not sure what the L200 is like but I had a Shogun a while back and it was crap, problem after problem, think the L200 has a slightly smaller DID engine so may suffer the same issues?.
  10. Congrats on the new bike, it looks good, hope you have many happy miles on it. Also I’m pretty sure I’m technically classed as a millennial and reading road signs isn’t difficult, I can even read maps!.
  11. Ducatis recommended pressures in the handbook when I had my Panigale V4 were 33 front and 30 rear, felt about right on that, I run 36 and 38 on the R1 on the road which works well for me.
  12. This one did hence my comment about 34mpg... I am sure you could get better if you did not have the electric bit... I’m not sure how well a full EV would work for a taxi?, some of them do sit in ranks for a long time so if they could get one of the 30/40 minute fast charges done then it should work in theory, although it would be very expensive to install so probably won’t happen.
  13. I’ve found leaving it in the garage until spring is the best approach.
  14. Personally I think leaving the EU was a bad idea and will prove so in the next few years but there we go, it’s done now, sunlit uplands and all that.
  15. This is what I was thinking too, no way a chain should look like that after 51 miles even if it hadn’t been touched!. Sandpapered and rubbed with salt possibly . I concur that this corrosion has been deliberately induced . Either that or it’s been clocked!.
  16. the was a recall done on them i cant remember which year you better check, oil pump failure! oil pump runs off the timing belt the fault was the pulley would fail and timing belt comes off engine f**ked!! That is on the V6 engine, thankfully this one is the V8 and immune from that particular issue, there are many other possible ones though .
  17. Don’t these have a small petrol engine and are more plug in hybrid than a full electric vehicle?.
  18. This is what I was thinking too, no way a chain should look like that after 51 miles even if it hadn’t been touched!.
  19. Yeah I understand what you mean, you do see a lot of them being driven badly, XC90s are a really good car, I had a V70 with the D5 engine and thought it was great, although I can see your point might be a bit underpowered pulling an XC90 around!. Sadly I’m a long way from being able to afford the SUV I’d really like .
  20. giphy-downsized.gif To be fair I don’t think 500 ish ft/lbs of torque and my occasional lead foot helped the poor rubber bearing , it’s not that bad yet but ordered a new bearing and will probably do it at the weekend doesn’t look very difficult to do, at least fixing it will give me something to do in the winter when I can’t ride the bike!.
  21. First issue has arisen! , bit of vibration/noise just starting when you put the engine under heavy load coming more from the rear. Had a look this morning and the rubber centre bearing in the rear prop shaft is starting to get some play in it, so new bearing time, or probably easier time for a new prop!.
  22. Thought about taking it out this morning, went out to do a few other bits and pieces and thought sod that it’s cold!.
  23. Honestly I can’t understand why someone would get hung up on another persons eating and drinking choices, if you’re vegan/veggie and that works for you then great, if you’re not that’s great too. Personally I do eat meat although try and have chicken etc more than red meat when I do. With drinking I can quite happily have a pint or a glass of wine if our socially and not have any more, I don’t really enjoy going out to pubs and getting drunk with friends anymore, haven’t in a good while, probably not the politically correct thing to say but gave up other mind altering substances at the same time as drinking and don’t regret that either, felt a lot better mentally and physically since then.
  24. I find modern bikes more fiddly to work on,cars, it depends on the car and what you’re doing with it, some have loads of space, some are more of a pain in the arse than a bike is to work on. If you hate working on cars just buy a Toyota or a Honda, nothing will go wrong with it in the first place!.
  25. The new plaid s is set for sub 2sec 0 to 60 and 200mph+ top end, it's getting very hard for supercar manufacturers I’ve driven both S and X in P100D form, they’re ridiculously fast from a standing start, can’t imagine what the Plaid is going to be like, range is impressive on it too!.
