  1. Only thing I could find fault with is the interiors aren’t as nice as some other cars in that kind of price bracket but personally I could live with that for the amount of tech, ease of use and performance they offer. I will get a Model 3 once they reach a more affordable level. I’d not be against having an electric bike in the future either but there’s nothing out there yet I’m remotely interested in.
  2. I’m not sure I’d want an electric bike, I don’t think they’re quite there yet, especially not at the performance end of the market. Saying that having driven all the different versions, I’d buy a Tesla as my car if I could afford one in a heartbeat, love the quiet and making most other things look silly at the traffic lights .
  3. I’ve got an iPhone XR that I’ve had for 2 years now, still going strong and battery is still decent, only has 1 camera on it but I don’t really feel like I’m missing out, the picture quality seems fine.
  4. All mine were over 10 years ago, one of them I ended up in hospital for a couple of days, I highsided in a roundabout and landed on my shoulder, completely shattered my collarbone into a few different pieces and had to have a plate to put it all back together properly.
  5. Can you get your knee down on ice though ? Don’t be silly, you can get everything down on ice! .
  6. I don’t know if it’s actually helpful for you but if I had a £4K max budget for a bike I’d be buying a 954 Fireblade, brilliant bikes.
  7. Body off is on the Sport, the Vogue is a monocoque so a bit hard to remove the body! , that was the main reason I discounted the Sport, turbo replacement on the Vogue isn’t nearly as bad, still a good weekends work to DIY and still not easy though. To be honest though if anything major goes I will just spares/repair or on eBay and get most of or all my money back, I had to take a punt on it at £3k!.
  8. Why do you always assume the worst, six? He could be with the AA - you never know With a rangerover rac is optional, alcoholics anonymous is obligatory. The very first rr was fine, fit electronic ignition and carry some oil it would cross the world, anything post 3.9 and Asda and back is a push. I don't know, the newer ones aren't THAT bad, well except the P38, that is, and then some!. To be fair if I were crossing the world I'd want one of these: I freely admit they're a better car, it's just they cost so much more to buy that I'd rather take the chance and have that lovely interior . I'm looking forward to revisiting this thread in the future to either inform you all its gone catostophically wrong and laugh at myself or that it hasn't missed a beat and laugh at you all .
  9. Yeah, it's alright. I struggle to get excited about cars very much. I still fancy a Range Rover though. The fridge between the front seats is fantastically superfluous. The dealer where I tested the RR warned me that I'd better have deep pockets if I bought it. Think my favourite thing I never knew I needed is a heated steering wheel so far . Running cost wise I think these have gotten past the very expensive to run stage now, well if you can do some work on them yourself anyway, loads of patent bits out there and stuff like servicing or discs/pads even the air suspension isn’t the end of the world now it’s the big stuff like gearboxes and turbos which are potentially ruining and you hope don’t go wrong. I will update on what it’s like towing and off road once I’ve done both in it .
  10. 25 ish Miles each way, not great but it’s not too bad, rarely can be bothered to do it on the bike though.
  11. The 535d is a really good car too, probably better built and less likely to go wrong and better on diesel than mine, not to mention quicker, mine wouldn’t see which way it went, the Range does have it on comfort though I’d guess, don’t notice speed bumps and it feels like you’re sitting in an armchair, complete with arm rests!.
  12. It’s not my first one, I know what Land Rovers can be like . Main things to worry about on these are the turbos failing and gearbox issues, gearbox feels smooth and changes how it should so am going to treat it to a fluid change anyway for peace of mind, turbos all seem fine and are boosting as they should, all intercooler pipes are solid so hopefully it’s ok, as you say though it’s a Range Rover so something will come up at some point. Disco 2s are a solid car, don’t know much about the TD5 but have friends with 200 and 300 TDIs that are very tough mechanically it’s just rust that gets to them. Surprising that you couldn’t get a quote on a Supercharged, have you tried the BMW engined 4.4 V8?, they’re really good value now and are fast enough imo.
  13. 3.6 V8 diesel, get a little bit of V8 rumble but it’s quite muted, surprisingly quick for a nearly 3 tonne car with the aerodynamics of a housebrick!. What Disco have you got?.
  14. The answer is, something I will no doubt come to regret down the line but for now am very much enjoying. Needed a few jobs doing on it which I’ve done this weekend, drives pretty well and was really good value for money, just crossing all fingers that it’s a good one and isn’t going to go spectacularly wrong on me. It will look better once it’s covered in mud .
  15. Lovely bike, don’t know if it would be worth the premium over the normal M Sport version though apart from for the rareity factor?. The new S1000RR is really good, looks nice too, think the only thing I could ever see me realistically considering spending that kind of money on though would be a Honda V4, if only they would build one!.
  16. I really want one of these: http://ablogtowatch.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/Vacheron-Constantin-Overseas-Chronograph-5500V-aBlogtoWatch-30.jpg Sadly a bit out of my price range though!.
  17. I’m going with it’s a trick and not on the list, don’t know why but I’m saying Multistrada!.
  18. Looks really nice , I saw one of these yesterday when I was at Loomies, no idea what they ride like but thought it was a very cool looking bike. How much does it pop and bang when you shit the throttle?, I don’t think I’ve experienced a bike that does it more than my R1 seems to so far!, like constant artillery fire on over run, the Thruxton sounds great too.
  19. Seems like someone wants to go to a lot of trouble when their numberplate could merely have fallen off instead.....
  20. Smashing Pumpkins - 1979, and 99 pieces of excrement. It was an utterly abysmal year for music unless you go Indie http://www.rocklistmusic.co.uk/1996.html I never was that fond of 1979, great band overall though!.
  21. Mine's 12 years old with over 130K on the clock, and it's still going strong. I got it earlier this year to replace my older XC90 because I was sick of it getting stuck every time I had to go to one of our field trials sites. Some of them are in pretty remote locations, and the Volvo couldn't even get itself to them if the ground was muddy, let alone pull a trailer there. No problem in the Jeep! Thankfully it's not my daily driver: it comes to something when an XC90 is fuel efficient in comparison! I know it’s complete madness but I really kind of want another Range Rover but one with the V8 diesel, I know it’s going to break though .
  22. Aygos are alright, Toyotas in general give very little bother they’re reliable and well made a family member has a Yaris that’s caused no issues and I used to have a Landcruiser, sold it with 220k on the clock and it was barely run in!. Saying that, if your commute is so short I’d probably go one way or the other, get something fun with a big V8 or get an EV, not sure but you should be able to get an old Nissan Leaf for around that now, the range will be crap but it doesn’t sound like it would affect you much. I do a 50 mile round trip as a commute every day and I’d love to have an EV to do it in, sadly the only two I’d actually want are well out of my price range at the moment.
  23. Welcome, nice bike they sound great , I love the sound of mine, not sure if it’s referred to as a Big Bang or a CP4 though, either way it’s the same great sounding, V4 emulating Engine .
  24. If anybody's qualified to lead a tour based around despair it's probably @dynax. I wonder if Thom Yorke is free to do the soundtrack, could always ask Morrisey if not.
