  1. Could do a straight swap for my 636 ninja then Thanks but I have no boat and no need for an anchor ! Besides I have already confessed to a bad back so a smaller sportsbike would be as welcome as gritty haemorrohoids (cant spell so just say piles). Cheers Ian Whatever you do,if that’s the case don’t ever get one like my bike, not only is it incredibly uncomfortable, it also gets so hot it’s not funny, would I change it?, hell no!, imagine the ‘Busa is the same, although I’d say a fair bit more comfortable!.
  2. Looks better than the actual Fireblade from that era imo!. Sadly I don’t have any pictures of my first bike anymore, it was 20 years ago now , but it looked exactly like this: http://raresportbikesforsale.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/NC35_1.jpg Such a good looking bike, and the ZXR400 too, in fact all the 400s looked really good, except the GSXR.
  3. I’m not sure about the Aeros, don’t think I’ve ever seen one!. This thread has made me remember how awesome early 90s 400 sports bikes were.
  4. Doubtful, they’re more considered a baby RC30 than a baby Fireblade. I always thought the CBR400s had double headlights like the VFR/RVFs?. If they’ve called it a baby Blade by accident and it is in fact an NSR250, let me know I’d gladly buy it!. Yeah I know my daughter had a nc30. My first big bike was an NC35, really would like another one or an RS250 as a second bike before they get too expensive .

  6. No original R1 on the list?, it should be.
  7. CBR400s are really good bikes, you’ll love it I’m sure.
  8. Did yours have the weird rear shock setup?, my brother had a TLR and it felt really odd in the corners, sounded great though, and that’s from a non V twin man!. Yeah the TLs was the first bike to have it I wrote a bit of info on it in this thread https://www.themotorbikeforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=72501 But I replaced it eventually with a Bitubo but that wen't tits up but you can fit a modified R6 shock that works a treat Ah, never knew that, I quite like them to be honest, they look great with the high level exhausts good .

  10. Are we allowed to list a bike that we have owned, sold and would love to have another of?. I had one of these: http://www.mcnews.com.au/wp-content/gallery/2002-honda-cbr-954-rr-fireblade/red_rhf_700p.jpg In the same colours as that one, despite having newer, faster bikes since I still think it’s one of the best motorcycles I’ve ever ridden, I’d love another one.
  11. I wish I still had my BMW R80. Out of the eight beemers I've owned, this had the best engine and gearbox by far. I wanted a 916 until I rode one. Great looking bike, but I couldn't ride it any longer than an hour. (I wish I could afford one now, just to have it in the garage to look at or for track days ) Thought I wanted a CRF1100 AT, unfortunately I only got to test ride the CRF1000 - I'm not convinced this bike is what I want anymore. Before lockdown I was in the process of test riding another Beemer and the KTM 1290GT. I've always wanted a Busa too oooh if money was no object eh! I always loved the look of the 916/748, compared to my first proper big bike in the early 00s-a 1995 Fireblade, they were so far ahead in terms of looks and size it wasn’t even funny, then I rode one, couldn’t get on with that engine at all, when Ducati finally announced they were making a semi affordable 4 cylinder bike I had to have one.
  12. The title did say bikes you wanted to have not Artics . Less chance of a SMIDSY Fair enough, reckon a Scania V8 would have a better exhaust note though.

  14. There are 3 I’ve always wanted, all from the 90s: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wxV4W61OiPI/TqhsJCIGSYI/AAAAAAAAACk/t5ghJen8YwM/s1600/DSC_8722.JPG The first two are still in the realms of affordability, the last one never was and definately isn’t now .
  15. I gave it a run to the supermarket, yes it was slightly impractical only getting one backpacks worth of shopping but it needed running.
  16. A lot of the London ones aren’t!, would love to see some of them do a day in a Cat 2 low loader . London? That's a different country there Very true, I can’t wait to move well out of being within the M25!.
  17. That’s one way to immeasurably improve the exhaust note if a Harley.
  18. Bus drivers are the best drivers thats why A lot of the London ones aren’t!, would love to see some of them do a day in a Cat 2 low loader .
  19. Dummy,Mezzanine and OK Computer are the best albums of the 90s imo, not that there weren’t a lot of other great ones too. All 3 are in my top 20 They’re all great. I’d 100% say Dummy was Portisheads best album, same for Mezzanine being Massive Attacks best work, I know this might be sacrilege to say but I don’t think OK Computer is Radiohead’s best work although it is pretty amazing and definately a high point of 90s albums in general.

  21. Reading the thread title I was expecting Eminem, won’t lie, I’m disappointed .
  22. Sorry, yes they’re fine for normal pulling away I meant more trying to do a quick launch on it, really hard to do, but it’s always been a bit of a weak point with Ducati sports bikes so I’m told.
  23. I don’t really mind vampires as long as they’re not the sparkly, silly kind, I still can’t forget being dragged to the cinema to watch one of those steaming turds of a film by an ex gf. Naked Gun was better!.
  24. Me either, the actress was cute though, I did see a few episodes, she seemed to be into older men from what I could gather. I think it was the whole vampire thing that put me off, now if it was zombies and had some decent decapitations I don’t really mind vampires as long as they’re not the sparkly, silly kind, I still can’t forget being dragged to the cinema to watch one of those steaming turds of a film by an ex gf.
