Module 1 - members test experiences
runningman replied to a topic in CBT, Test and Advanced Training Information
Well done. Most people say Mod 2 is easier than the Mod 1 (I would too). Good luck with the Mod 2. -
Congratulations

I use an Aeropress. Can be had for about £20. It makes an espresso like coffee shot which you can either have as it, add more hot water for an americano, or foam up some hot milk for either a latte or cappuccino. I think the top tip is to buy either freshly roasted whole beans and grind them yourself or but freshly ground beans but from an independent retailer. Loads of them online, and I'd imagine there is probably one close by anyway. Avoid supermarket ground coffee like the plague. Good ground coffee beans aren't cheap. Somewhere in the region of £8 for approx 250g. I use 15g per coffee shot, but you can make coffee just as good as your local high street coffee shot. I got my Aeropress during lockdown when a getting a good coffee became quite difficult so it's been great. I use it every day.

keeping bike clothing in garage
runningman replied to a topic in Clothing, Luggage, Accessories and Security
I leave my jackets on hangers in the garage all year round. No problems at all....even the spiders leave 'am alone (but maybe they're feeding on the dead flies and insects on the jacket). -
I did the 14th edition (I tbink it was the 14th) 30 years ago when I was an apprentice. Guess it hasn't changed much. Still a multiple guess exam paper and allowed to use the regs book to pass?

Sounds about right, maybe even on the cheap side. Ask if this includes the MOD 1 and 2 exam feees and using one of their bikes for the tests. -
Man, that is one fugly bike.

I have just got one of these for my daughter to go on the pillion seat of my Street Triple R, as she was complaining about get a sore bum. Fits nicely. Gel Seat Pad M Tourtecs Universal Comfort Seat black SKU: 778152-0 https://www.motea.com/en/gel-seat-pad-m-tourtecs-universal-comfort-seat-black-778152-0 She used it yesterday or the 1st time and said it was very comfortable but tended to make her slide forward a bit. Just under £50 delivered from Germany. Same company has them on Ebay and Amazon. No UK supplier. Took 9 days for delivery. Let me know if you want any more info.

Nice one! It's going to be a long 7 days! Got my Street Triple R from Pure Triumph at Wellingborough. They were easy to deal with.

Got my MY13 Street Triple R from them. It was a year old, ex factory bike so still got the 2 year warranty....which was useful as the clutch needed to be replaced as it approached the end of the warranty period.

Pure Triumph, Wellingborough?

Did the Biker Down course about 6 weeks ago. Well worth a few hours of your time. Hadn't done any first aid stuff for as long as I can remember so that was very informative too.
