you're welcome.. and your answer above really sums up why its not a bike i would consider. Back at the start of september i did a smidge under 3,600 miles over 14 days. and that involved a 500 mile ride to get to where i wanted to 'start from'. 220+ miles from here to the tunnel.. and then another 280 miles through the Covid ravaged Wastelands.. to somewhere i could actually stop for a coffee. the idea of doing that on a RE. hence my use of the word: Masochism. I never snigger at peoples choices. if an RE suits you (or anyone) then thats just fine by me. I guess the name of the bike is appropriate though... theres little need for motorway speeds in the Himalayas. Does the KKH have a speed limit?

just done 2 to mine ... headers and end can , i got Delkevic headers to , sounds just how i wanted it to, 2, bar end mirrors, look much better and can see more , ive got no plans to do any thing else .... at the moment

Scientist by profession but my qualifications are engineering. I've been developing scientific equipment for the past 7-8 years and am hoping to move over to do that full time once I can pull a reasonable and reliable wage from it. have you got big pointy ears ... wages no good on the Enterprise nowadays ?

Wind noise is the problem.....real PITA. But I can do and walkround with commentary and blip the throttle if you really want to hear it. But it just sounds like every other big Thumper. i'll take that then ,look forward to it squire

Thank you. I don’t think they’re that clear on there are they. Each to their own I just think they look tidier. Forgive me if I sound silly but it’s both the right hand and left hand. To be honest I’m not even sure it’s the thread. Previous owner removed the original mirrors and I assume rode without any. Replaced them with some crappy alloy cover screws and now they won’t unscrew. Its almost like they’ve melted in there or something. I have a spare mirror. It’s a right hand one and when I did manage to get the cover screws out the mirror just won’t go but I won’t lie the thread looks okay so I’m lost. i had bar end mirrors fitted to mine, think they look much better than standard ones, and i can see much more , no elbows in the way
