  1. Beautiful machine that, @Ian Frog
  2. Haven’t had the ticket(s) yet, so we’ll see.
  3. I got 9 points in 5 days. No excuses; I knew a speed camera was coming, my satnav reminded me, and i still rode through at 38mph. Got the dreaded double flash. Cursing in my helmet and feeling sorry for myself, about 20 seconds later... double flash again. I was still doing 38 and went through a second camera. What a prick. Got home, speeding ticket waiting from me on the table from Monday. w**ker!
  4. Commutted. It’s nice this Biking lark. A might do a bit more of it.
  5. First ride of the new year yesterday. What started out as nice ride on empty roads turned into a nightmare as it absolutely pissed down.
  6. It was the day before, but I decided to leave it that mode today for the morning commute. Very pleasant compared to the rock solid dynamic and race modes that feel like you have a wooden wheels on.
  7. Rediscovered how much I love riding it in “rain” mode. It’s so civil and bouncy.
  8. That's awesome.
  9. All due respect (and this isn’t a criticism, just an observation) but reading your posts you mention yourself a lot; what you regret, how you see things going, your impulsive nature. Some friendly advice, just be sure it's a family decision and that everyone is comfortable relocating. Sometimes, we want something so bad, we get tunnel vision and become unable to see what's going on around us (talking from experience). All the best.
  10. And, it’s not like I’m in his blind spot. It’s pretty spiteful manoeuvre. He’s lucky, to be fair. I had to take that call, otherwise I’d have been pulling over to find a rock or something.
  11. Ok tmbf - it's summer (just) and Joe85 is on his bike again. I thought i'd done fairly well this year to stay out of trouble, but, alas, trouble has found me. The great and good of tmbf, honest opinions please. Was I at fault? Did I overreact? And why is the driver an absolute w*nker? *context, I was deep into a phone conversation with TUI regarding a refund complaint - they seem to choose the perfect time to call, and, of course, you cannot call them.
  12. 7x5 on every bike for the last 9 years. I did buy a 6x4 once and that was an utter pisstake. I use A1 Showplates.
  13. To be honest, for £30 quid, all of the air cushions you see on eBay are the same. Just go with one with highest reviews. I used one for my trip to France a few years back and it’s was alright, still ached after a few hours. Found it worked best when semi-deflated.
  14. Cheers guys.
  15. Dropped it! Thought I had the side stand down while moving it and just let go… Minor damage to one of the pegs.
  16. S1000XR.
  17. The GS is crying out for a 7x5
  18. Yeh, I’ve got one on mine, the last 3 letter being MKR (M1000R). It’s a reach, but I like it.
  19. I realise this ain’t what you’re after, but Tail tidies are probably the most cost effective enhancement a bike can have. Get a tail tidy.
  20. Well, i managed to get it up (relatively) straight. I quite like it.
  21. I thought i'd be clever and buy a Biker Tidy to organise all of my gear. Well, it's mahooossive. And i can't find anywhere for it to fit.
  22. Gave it a clean, and prayed to the motorcycle gods for some fecking warm and dry weather.
  23. I don’t need 99.9% of the shit I own, but if I didn’t have them, I’d have to talk to the Mrs!
  24. Gerbing failures are always, always the connector. Now mines out of warranty, I’ve just bought a couple of their extension cables from their website and use those to do the repairs myself (on the jacket, at least). Glad you got it sorted, but yeh, the connectors are truly woeful (for Gerbing, anyway).
