  1. Don’t worry about it. I got 3 in the same trip 2023, never heard a thing.
  2. Thanks all. Here's the junction, just so you know what I mean. Arrow is the maneuver he made, without looking. I was about where the letter L is; enough space to stop, but not enough so as to not make your sphincter pukker up. ar*ehole.
  3. Nearly got wiped out on the 2nd ride on the GS. At a busy junction just by my house as i'm going straight ahead a guy in an Audi TT (who is behind a van and wholly obscured by it) decides he's had enough of waiting and just goes for it; an outrageous bit of driving. Genuinely just turns right across oncoming traffic to cut through a petrol garage and skip the traffic queue. Thankfully (being a 40mph) road, i'm wary of riding at speed through that junction and (luckily for him) I'd dropped my speed so was a second behind where I should be. Annoyingly, forgot to attach the GoPro, as it was a disgraceful move. I'd turn into the garage and got alongside him, and he did stop and apologise. Regardless, that sort of negligence should carry a permanent ban.
  4. Can't remember now, think it was just the whole behavior of the account, playing very stupid on topics, constantly leaning on the good nature of people to help her, and immediately putting up her profile picture in a very male-centric enviroment to draw people in. I remember thinking at the time that it's a matter of when, not if, some sort of attempt at a money grift gets pulled. Maybe i'm wrong, doesn't feel like it though.
  5. What happened to this person? I was gonna call the account out as a scammer but in the end kept my mouth shut.
  6. Unfortunately, his seniority within the business trumps all. Even if the deadline elapses he'll use his influence to tell me and my managers to get bent, essentially.
  7. Paid for the akra for the GS, as i wanted to see if there was any audible difference from stock, both with and without the servo eliminator kit. Turns out it truly is just a very expensive (and admittedly very nice-looking) visual upgrade only. Straight back in the box and on it way for a refund. Money will be better spent on a set of aftermarket headers.
  8. Just had an interesting conversation with the owner of Supershield Auto (I've used them a few times to ceramic coat my bikes) about ACF50, XCP etc. Was watching TeapotOne's Gs clean video below (really good cleaning tips, btw), where Peter mentions about ACF50 being viscous and damaging over time to paintwork. (9mins 40 secs in the video). I thought i'd drop him a text and just ask the question regarding XCP too, and he's adamant that it's not required for modern bikes (particularly BMW's and other brands, which use aluminum screws). Interesting. Could save a PITA job once or twice a year.
  9. To be honest I’ve never thought about lettingit dry. But I do tend to leave it overnight (by coincidence). I rub it in with a microfibre cloth, so as far as I’m concerned it’s good to go right away.
  10. True, not sure how it can be. It doesn't have a UK reg. Unless they can insure on just the VIN alone.
  11. Also, pissed about with disconnecting the exhaust valve servo cables to see if it produced a bit more noise. Neglible with the stock can. Don't feel like weighing out another grand for the BMW akra, either. I guess one of the (many) downsides) of buying a bike first off the production line is there eff all aftermarket parts available. Boo. In terms of what im doing with the bike in general. Everytime i pass the garage door, stick my head in, admire it for 5 seconds, occasionally giving it a stoke and then going about my business again.
  12. Decided to email them. They responded pretty quickly saying they're making an adapter, so it must fit somehow. Quite pleased as I've grown attached my sky lift
  13. Also, I picked Gold wheels and I’m regretting it.
  14. Something else i've noticed is the GS doesn't appear to be comp[atible with the Abba Skylift or superbike stand, which is a bit shit.
  15. Picked up the 1300 GS today. Didn't really get to have a good ride as I just wanted to get home before the rain so can apply the XCP without having to give it a deep clean. Also removed the central locking pannier rack thingys, never gonna use that. Also, the blind spot detection thing really does make the rear end look awful, it pokes right out. I'm afraid that's gonna have to go in the bin in favor of a tail tidy.
  16. Always. In fact it triggers my anxiety that my arse will be hanging out if I don’t.
  17. Minor update: Bike remains undistrubed in the work carpark. I doubt he’s even been down to see it or try and turn it over.
  18. Looks like they’re a bit too far gone to salvage. Ah well, was worth a try.
  19. Ooooh, you might just save me 1200 quid. Have literally just weighed out on a new suit due to the damage from my off in March. May see if they can repair. thank you!
  20. Been riding a BMW F900R on loan from Arden Tunbridge Wells. Very cheeky little middleweight. You can’t be the sound of a twin, either. Rather impressed, actually. would make an excellent first bike.
  21. Yeh, seems unlikely. And I looked at the GS forums and no one seems to be whinging about it.
  22. Apparently *pinch of salt* there’s a wider issue with people struggling to get insured on the new GS, because BMW haven’t released certain details to insurers to slow them to appropriately price insurance. FFS.
