  1. If I thought I could get away with it, I’d have absolutely no issues with lying to insurance company so the outcome favours me. They can get f**ked.
  2. You can hire a van from B&Q for £42; a small price to pay to avoid a larger fine from the rozzers.
  3. Don’t start your bike in a an enclosed space, kids.
  4. Google “folding motorbike mirrors” there’s a tonnes out there; all different types to suit all budgets.
  5. Do you have picture of it? With my GS I used to just stand on the centre stand lever and it would pop up.
  6. I put a PPF film on all the painted parts and head light. (And it’s just been cleaned). Taking it back to the installer tomorrow because some areas haven’t taken too well. Unfortunately the PPF is printed in sections for each pa el, rather than being a ‘wrap’, which is what I’d have preferred.
  7. Fitted the SC Project Exhaust.
  8. The heat complaint surprises me; I rode for 5 days in minus temperatures through northern France (a low of -5) on the Amber setting and the Gerbing gloves performed admirably. I felt toasty the whole time. The red setting got painfully hot after 10-15 minutes.
  9. With the Gerbing gloves, the hottest two settings are locked out. You have to do some weird button combo to unlock it.
  10. Some great discounts to be had - just bagged a hoodie for 60% off. Hoodie here: https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/768653 https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_search?s=spada&sort=date_desc&nm[price.discount]=30%3A
  11. Not with my bike, but with my heated jacket - for the 2nd time since i purchased it in Dec 2022, the sleeve connector has failed. That means, since purchasing the jacket and gloves from Gerbing, i've had the right glove fail once and the jacket sleeve connector twice. On both previous occasions, the repair has been carried out under warranty. This time i had to repair it myself, which took about 10 minutes to cut and wire a new connector. The issue appears to be that there is no slack on the cables, so the connectors are always under tension when trying to connect the glove to the sleeve. So with that in mind, i've given myself some more slack in the cable which should give it a bit more longevity next winter.
  12. I went with an end can over te full system; i really cant be arsed with remapping and all that jazz.
  13. Why bike manufacturers include so many spare screws.
  14. I’ve used Gerbing heated gloves to ride around France at -4 while feeling like it was summer. Heated gear is a game changer… If you can be bothered with the faff of connecting of it all up. As for Gerbing, I need to update my review on here. Their connectors are weak, and are prone to failure if connected/disconnected frequently. I’ve sent my heated jacket back once already for repair, plus had my heated gloves replaced under warranty due to a cable failure. My heated jacket has just failed again also.
  15. Dilemma - Titanium headers or not? The full system on my S1000R was obnoxiously loud on a cold start as the engine would overrun at high revs for 30 seconds (which the M1000R also does) before settling down to something more civil. However, the Euro5 bread bin does a great job of making the bike sound like battery powered drill. That, and it looks absolutely hideous. Alternative (and for a similar price) is a aftermarket end can and a carbon bellypan to cover it up.
  16. 1st service. All 14,000RPM now unlocked.
  17. That’s a superb outcome. Great work. i haven’t decided if im prepared to let it go yet, or not.
  18. Used it twice today to turn off the bike.
  19. Congratulations. Yes, buy the bike that you want!! There’s no worse feeling seeing the bike you actually want whilst riding one you don’t. Enjoy!!
  20. I’ll make a habit of using the side stand kill switch from now on.
  21. £100 off of a Nolan Helmet. Well happy with that.
