    Seriously?

Also, i notice the gap between the train and the gantry is only 12 inches, which puts my nob at risk if ever need a piss out the train window. More signage please.

    Seriously?

But that's why you don't stick your head out of the window of a moving train, isn't it? Anyone who's been on a train - or even seen them - knows how close they pass by each other and to bits of rail infrastructure. And it's not as if the knowledge isn't transferable from elsewhere: My kids are 11 and 8 and they both know full well to keep their arms inside the car when the windows are down, and why. Ultimately he died because he elected to stick his head out of the window whilst the train was still moving. It's unfortunate, but is it really anybody else's fault? Of course you are right. He is dead becuase of his own actions, however, as intelligent as people can be the can also be incredibly stupid and quite often do things with out really thinking it through. We all know this, which is why it doesn't absolve the train operator of it's obligations under HSE legislation. If the signage on that door wasn't so cluttered and displayed the correct warnings there is every chance the bloke wouldn't have poked his head out. Additonally, this door is mean't for guard use only. Govia ran this service without guards despite knowing that the line in question had structures that came so close to the trains. Look at the strike marks on the gantry from passing trains. Essentially, there was no need to run this carriage on that line. By doing so they put passengers at a forseeable (to them) risk. In short: Govia new of the risks and didn't do enough to mitigate them. They admitted to this. At least, that's how i interpreted the report. (Sorry edited, lot of duplicates in there and i knew i wrote this last bit twice but couldn't find it. )

Good post. Report below. Interesting read. Definitely some culpability from the operator. https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/59245646ed915d20f80000a9/R092017_170525_Balham.pdf

    Seriously?

Worth considering that the operator plead guilty very early on. The man is responsible for his own death, no doubt, but the operator had a duty of care under legislation that it failed, hence the fine.
  6. Can never seem to get boy racers or owners of some such sport variant to indulge. Personally I reckon it’s because they’d rather not know just how slow there investment is. Seem to have plenty of good hearted ‘sprints’ with other bikers up and down the A** in the morning and afternoon rush hour. Rarely come across another biker who wants to "win" for want of another word. Everyone seems to give it full beans off the lights and then people just know to take turns leading the pack, if that makes sense, backing off having a good nodding session and then going again with the odd wheelie thrown in for good measure. Anyway, makes the commute more interesting. That said, the conversation at the next set of lights can be a bit of chore when you spend most of the conversation pretending to have heard what they said and just nodding and grinning.
  7. Not really relevant to your point but only last year the the Women’s World Champions got pumped 5-2 by Dallas United’s U-15 side.
  8. SBS are great.

    Picking usernames

My name is Jo, i like MDMA and i was 85 when i joined up.
  10. By the way, that's an incredible deal. I paid closer to 500, i think.
  11. May not be an issue for you but these are a tighter fit than makes like Shoei, for example. I bought the Bell Race Star last year. Originally i sent it back and got the next size up but found that much to too big so reverted back and just stuck with it for a month. Eventually the padding gave way. Only annoying thing is that there is no cutouts for speakers. Quality helmet though.
  12. Nik naks, actually. You feckin snowflake. Enjoy your nik naks .... you masked biker twat Get out of my face.
  13. Will you be munching on another dictionary whilst enjoying your motomadness Nik naks, actually. You feckin snowflake.
  14. Anyway, f**k off the lot of you. I can't resist responding and i've been procrastinating this calculus module for a week now. Which is to say: i'm going to watch some motomadness.
  15. Absolutely. She's know's how not to escalate a situation.
  16. Approaching someone to talk to them you are going to get close to that person, thats the whole point of approaching them What? There's a respectable boundary all people keep when approaching strangers (people outside of their social circle). It's natural. And we all do it subconsciously and the headmistress illustrates this perfectly. In this instance the absolute twats (bikeman) actions betrayed his words. He verbally gave it the biggun to the Officer but his natural reaction was to take a step back. Twice. On both occasions the officer steps forward. He's clearly trying to assert authority over the situation. That is an act of aggression, no matter how mild and whether you like it or not. the twat, intimidated in front of others, wants to save face by being lippy but he cant stop himself trying to put distance between him and the copper. Original allegation given was he was being abusive to headmistress which can be a criminal offence (s5 public order act - uses threatening [or abusive] words or behaviour, or disorderly behaviour) Lol, Witnessed by no one, You'd be nicking more people than the guy in Hot Fuzz. Why are you talking about grooming? And jumping in canals? Whatabboutery, no? The whole thing was utterly pointless as both parties ended the affair by screaming about who was in the wrong before both going in opposite directions. So what was achieved? f**k all. No, the copper didn't jump into a canal to prove his swimming prowess in a game of one-up-manship with the twat an no the twat wasn't uncovered as a giant paedo. He was wearing a mask and was apparently rude, they had a row. Meter readers have no legal power to enter your property without your consent. However when they knock on my door I smile and let them in rather than screaming at them that they have no right and how dare they knock on my door. Huh?
  17. I'm not anti-police. I just know hyperbole when i see it, snowflake. .... oh the irony
  18. Sorry Joe, sounds like bollocks to me. A trick? The guy says it, and takes a step back. The officer disregards this and steps forward. Like I said, both look like utter twats by the end of it. The head mistress was great, shes used to dealing with stroppy children which is exactly how he was behaving. Yes she was, and she was juxtaposed to the police officer. Funny that.
  19. Nope what? Your saying that he doesn’t step forward? If you’re going to lie then there’s no point debating. Your the twat on the bike .... either that or your as much anti police as he is . I'm not anti-police. I just know hyperbole when i see it, snowflake.
  20. First 20 seconds. Guy steps back twice, cop steps forward. Guy even mentions to cop he’s too close, cop steps forward. Look at the distance the head teacher is standing at. Nope ... Just had another look and I'm seeing a copper trying to talk to some gobby jumped up little prick on a bike wearing a mask ......... can you post up the video you watched . Nope what? Your saying that he doesn’t step forward? If you’re going to lie then there’s no point debating.
  21. Sorry Joe, sounds like bollocks to me. A trick? The guy says it, and takes a step back. The officer disregards this and steps forward. Like I said, both look like utter twats by the end of it.
  22. And you have the right to ignore them. Alternatively, the next copper you see, go and stand as close as this officer did whilst asking a question, see what response you get. Most the coppers I know would be telling you to take a step back. No need to apologise. I don’t think anyone has said that.
  23. Go stick your face into a strangers, see if you get a friendly response. If you want a break, you’d lrobably get one but not the one you’d expect i imagine. I think things are getting dragged into a grey area. I’m not debating that the guy in the mask is a giant bell, it’s whether the copper escalated things by being overly aggressive, which he did. He has no reason to be getting so close to the guy, and no real reason to keep follwong him when the twat tries to leave. I must of been watching a different video..... Can some post the one with the overly aggressive copper . First 20 seconds. Guy steps back twice, cop steps forward. Guy even mentions to cop he’s too close, cop steps forward. Look at the distance the head teacher is standing at.
  24. Isn’t that more of a being polite thing? Which i agree with. Respect by definition: a feeling of deep admiration for someone or something elicited by their abilities, qualities, or achievements. No chance.
