@Simon Davey I once rode a road in the fens that made the A10 look as flat as a pancake. The bumps were like 3-foot high waves of tarmac, frozen in a snapshot of time. The best way to ride it was standing up. I wish I could find it on the map now...

The A10 between Littleport and Denver has always been astonishingly bad, especially the south carriageway as you approach Littleport. I haven't been that way in a few years, but I used to like that bit of road. As your heading north and you pass the burnt out speed camera, you feel you can open up the throttle and let the bike off the lead a bit. It's best on a summer's evening when there's almost no traffic. That road has seen a few wild rides. I had a great ride home from Woodbridge this evening. Amazing scents hanging in the air - cut grass, mayflower. Being out riding on a warm evening is hard to beat.

We've had nothing but sunshine since the start of March. Very warm the last few weeks too. Going to get cooler next week but still no rain.

For a couple of weeks now, my wife has been looking for our table napkins, which had mysteriously gone missing. We were quite chilled about it though, and thought they would show up some day - they couldn't have far. How wrong I was. Because today, I got an unexpected delivery from Sportsbikeshop, and there inside were the napkins, with this note (I did wonder about putting this into "nob of the day", but I thought SBS deserved their own thread title)

Rode the "Thetford Loop" with a couple of others from the local trail riding group. Ah my legs! They hurt today and they will hurt more tomorrow. I started doing this because I was looking for a challenge. I think I've found it The CRF performed faultlessly, and the suspension coped well with the wild sandy rollers. Here it is, at one of the a places where we crossed a tarmac road. And here I am, back in Suffolk, on the way home.

Oo. Ta for that. This fact had escaped my small brain.

I like the roads through the Forest, especially the quieter ones. I'm hopefully off there on Wednesday to ride some trails.

You could try aliexpress. I've picked up a few for the Shoei I have for a few bob each. They all fit better than the one that came in the box.

Hope it was a good one Mr Frog!

Welcome in buddy. What a great looking bike!

I'd have loved the chance to have my kids on the back when they were younger. Sadly I started riding too late, and they just think I'm a bit crazy.

You need to look at column 12 as well. If it's like this with a number, then you have to check the number here https://www.gov.uk/driving-licence-codes If you score a 79, like the one above does, it means the category includes "tricycles" - i.e. three-wheelers only, and not "bicycles", i.e. motorbikes.

I had a ride on one, and it felt like a mountain. Then I went and bought a bike that was even taller.

I'm 5' 7" and shrinking so can't help you. But @Gerontious can. If he's looking.

@Old and WitheredThanks. That's a great review.

Welcome in O&W. How are you finding the GB350S? There's been a lot of interest in tem here but I don't think anyone's actually gone and got one.

Same in Egypt. Friends of mine were once in a taxi in Cairo, when the driver took a left turn in the dark (no-one in Cairo actually turns their car lights on unless they think they're about to hit someone) and so they ended up driving along the tram lines. Problem was, the tramway at this point was bollarded off from the rest of the road and was laid as a proper railway line. At first, while they were just bumpty-bumping over the sleepers, it wasn't so bad, but when they heard the horn of the oncoming tram in the dark, they decided enough was enough and opened the doors of the moving car and jumped for their lives. As it happened, the tram stopped in time. However, no-one could persuade the taxi driver to leave his car. And of course the tram wasn't going anywhere, either.

Bike purchase is turning into a long running saga.

I hope to keep the car for going for another 5 years, perhaps more. With luck the situation will be clearer than it is now. -
Hello Dan. Welcome in. I used to have a water cooled one of those. For me it turned out to be a truly great bike. I've never ridden one of the earlier ones - is yours oil cooled? - but I hope you find the same. Where in Devon are you? My mum lives in Kilmington.

Wow, that's a Stihl, I mean, that's a steal.
