Might take up your offer and have a coffee with you. 3 pubs left and might do these on a run from warwickshire to Godmanchester. Old Sun, Black Bull and The Exhibition. -

Hhhuuuuuumm. The nearest "exhibition" pub to me is 70 mile away according to google. Not sure I can do that and the other nine in 90 minutes, and keep to the speed limits. -

Which lane at this crazy roundabout?

I would have followed the red line. Were there any signs on the approach? Can you post a street view of the approach? -
Done those roads, not in one go, in a car and they are breathtaking.

Glad you and the bike survived. As Six30 says wait till the good weather and you can concentrate on the riding without worrying too much about the road surface. I went out a week ago and the back moved enough for me to "clench" going round an island. Went out today and the roads scruffy and I noticed I was being over cautious on islands and trickling round trying to keep the bike upright. So stay off roads till they are dry and the temperature rises then you will soon get back in the swing of things.

Advice on reasonable security
JRH replied to JBaptist's topic in Clothing, Luggage, Accessories and Security
I use something like this. http://www.fastbikebits.com/product/491 ... ac12802998 No alarms but can not be prised apart and bolt cropper can not be used. Could pair this with a movement alarm fitted under the seat so not affected by rain. -
Who said its free Put it on my tab

Sounds like a new chain is required. . Should be ok till the weekend. You need to find the tightest point and adjust there. If you adjust at the slickest point there is an outside chance if it is too tight at the tight spot it could break.

If you are going to wear a cycle helmet I have seen lights which attach to the top of these. They are bright marker lamps though an would be in addition to the main running lights. They do make yo noticeable though and if you are worrying about rear lights theses would help. Like this http://www.tredz.co.uk/.Topeak-HeadLux- ... oCaTzw_wcB
