    Time for change

    All the best @husoi
  2. One of the big factors between Japanese and Chinese motor bikes is mind set. Having worked with and for Japanese companies they do not like things to go wrong but if they do they find out why and correct it. On the other hand having worked with Chinese it doesn’t seem to bother them at all.
  3. The GT750’s were a good dependable bike in their time. Shaft drive bullet proof engines ( I know I’m biased as I had 2) but if it’s not been used for a while that will probably have a detrimental effect on it. best thing is to look at selling sites and see if there are any for sale and what prices they are fetching, but don’t expect much.
  4. Hi and welcome
  5. To be fair the item I read was not solely motor bike insurance but vehicle insurance in general. It also said France were the cheapest area and the average annual increase there was about 5% as opposed to 30% in the UK. I think it was also mainly comparing the annual % increases as opposed to actual costs.
  6. Yes they are OK. Had front and rear fender extenders and a rear hugger. All fitted well.
  7. Read an article recently as to why UK insurance is more expensive than Ireland or Feance (2 EU) allegedly similar road usage to UK. The biggest difference is that the UK use these (4th Dimension) 3rd party companies to handle the claims. Apparently France ans Ireland insurers do all this themselves, as the UK used to do. So you end up with the system as described above. Have to say I had a no fault accident and 4th D were involved and it went OK. A loan bike was supplied and it was described as a "courtesy bike", now I think it may have been a hire bike. Only had it a week before mine was sorted. And no charges to me.

    Happy Birthday

    Happy Birthday @Mickly
  9. Years ago I had 2 or 3 AGV’s then all of a sudden didn’t fit any more, apparently shell shape had changed. So had HJC then Shoei and now Shoei are my go to helmet. They just suit me but not everyone. @R9XDG You must go and try different ones on.
  10. I resemble that remark.
  11. Hi and welcome
  12. Similar when I cancelled my sky subscription.
  13. Well, speed controller was ok just had to reprogram it. New high speed motor fitted AND a smaller less aggressive propeller ( standard 45 instead of racing 55) fitted. Boat performs ok and the motor so far lasted longer than 2 minutes
  14. The general consensus is it needs a bit more than 1 ltr. So yes get 2 litres and slowly top up til the correct level is reached.
  15. Hi and welcome and good luck.

    Modern stuff

Many years ago there was one in West Bromwich near the football ground which, in the evening and night, was pre pay and was fitted with heavy duty bars on the door and pay window. Has to use it a couple of times on the bike and was never too happy.
  17. @Simon Davey quick google says 4 stroke 153 cc.

  19. @Marky1968 put 1 let of oil in, check the level and add more till ok on the dip stick or viewing window.
  20. Well motor was rated at 750 watts and the watt meter showed a peak of 1100 watts and yes it was hooligan fast for a couple of minutes. Anyway the magic smoke was released.
