    Hi and welcome
  5. Took it in for fork seals and MOT. Have a tracer 700 courtesy bike for the day. Suspension is a bit harder than the bandit and needs gears changing more often, other than that nice bike. Now sat in Touchdown cafe with a bacon and sausage sandwich.
  6. My bike, 2008 Bandit1250, has 62000 miles. Bought in 2016 at 32000. It has regular oil and filter changes as specified in the manual. Small dealer service with MOT. And issues are resolved as necessary. So mileage is not an issue, it’s the maintenance that counts and regular runs.
  7. Neither do I.
  8. The pinlock inserts now carry a daytime use only on them. Think that’s come about in the last 10 or so years.
  9. At one time I commuted every day including snow and on occasion ice. (Came off once). Then when finances allowed 2 cars, commuted dry times only (unless caught out by rain). Now retired I prefer dry rides though have been caught in rain and snow storms in the past. Bike is taxed and insured all year and I have always got out on New Years Day for the past umpteen years.
  10. +1 for MRA. Plan route on IPad, can open route on LapTop and then transfer to Garmin Zumo. MRA can also export to many different SatNavs.

    Roadworks

There are 2 traffic islands close together near me. They are altering the lanes, adding traffic lights on one and a cycle lane on the other. Sign says work to last 52 weeks. I don't belive that as recent junction modification over run by that amount. Also nearby a new bridge over a dual carriage way to alter the slip roads is getting on for about 3 years late.
  13. All thing HOGGS #17 westHAM lane
  14. Don't fret, biscuits will appear soon. Talking if which, I am tucking into a sausage and bacon sandwich at Touchdown cafe.
  15. Put the thermal linings back into my gear and then off to Midwest Moto in Stourport on Severn. Sausage bacon and egg batch was eaten, to the disgust of onlookers.
  16. well last weekend at Sandringham fair.

    What bike?

When I have changed my bikes, admittedly not very often, I have never worried about the MPG. My bike is for fun and when working commuting in the summer. Though now my bike does do a lot more MPG than the car. Though again the car wasn’t bought for its MPG but to suit my needs at the time of buying. However my OH’s car beets both on MPG.
  18. Yellow glasses may help at night but they must allow75% light through. https://www.i-sunglasses.com/driving/night-driving.htm#:~:text=This means that all sunglasses,% light transmission) are suitable.
  19. I have 2 LED point lights on the fairing just below the headlights and a further 2 LED spot lights on the engine bars. according to my riding buddy I am very visible.
  20. As it was dry, little ride out to H’s near Oxford. It was very busy with loads of bikes.
  21. Replaced the 2 side/parking lamps. 1 blown the other had blackened and was very dim.
