Good ride out to get 3 tags. fosse way to Moreton then across to snowshill. Back to Stow then onto Daylesford across to bunkers hill near Kidlington. then back home via Banbury.

Someone else who had the joys of riding the GPX750R. They could be fun especially when encountering ripples in the tarmac while cornering at speed. This was mine.

I took my daughter out on the bike when she was able to sit with feet on the pillion pegs and hold on. Think she must have enjoyed the rides out as she now has bikes of her own

Sold my caravan and phoned to cancel insurance, £20 admin fee.

My first 2 wheeler was a Lambretta LI150. No battery lights were fed from the Magneto. First time out in the dark and as I rolled off the throttle for a very twisty section the lights virtually went out. That was fun. Not. Had to finish the ride in low gears to keep the revs up so I could see where I was going. Made for an interesting night ride.

Finally got the time to ride and the sun was out. Was a bit chilly to start with @Throttled the armoured denims as opposed to the textiles. A good run out across the South Midlands to pick up 3 tags and lunch at Coton Orchard garden centre.

@Capt Sisko I have that one. As I have a Ryobi drill and impact driver with 3 batteries it made sense to get that one. Use on the bike and car to apply foam but as you say not enough umph to clean a patio.

Mine were from Sensorcom. Bought at the London bike show about 2014. The speakers were removable and could be replaced with several different attenuators, which I finally did. the plugs themselves were fine just the speaker wires were not good.

I had custom plugs with speakers. The wires were so thin the first set failed within 12 months. Replacements were supplied foc. These lasted 12 months again more were supplied these packed up after a couple of years. Never bothered with plugs with speakers again. And now having lost a custom ear plug I find that the supplier is no longer in business. I wonder why.

I've had a couple of electric gliders, 1 crashed and its replacement still in its box. Been there for about 15 years. Got a 'copter as well. Never mastered that even with the very expensive futaba helicopter radio. Now just stick with the yachts and power boats. I need to get rid of some though. 13 is too many and an unlucky number.

My first 2 wheeled transport was a 1971 Lambretta LI150. checking the MOT site it MOT status is unknown / hasn’t had its first MOT. think is too old for the system. my last bike passed mot in 2014 then I traded it in. The next mot was in 2024 and now that has expired.

I have a small bag in the top box so fragile things go in that with packing. I also lined the top box with carpet off cuts which helps to cushion things.

Unplugging does make kinda sense. wiring to an ignition controlled feed is not much more than wiring to the battery. If your lights come on when the ignition is switched on you can take a feed from a light. The rear light is usually the easiest. I must admit that as a retired electrical engineer I don’t get fazed with wiring either automobiles or domestic / industrial. The attached is a typical circuit to provide ignition control to any add on electrical equipment.

Ideally the USB port should be fed from an ignition controlled feed. This is because the USB port will cause a parasitic drain on the battery even when nothing is connected to the USB port. Depending on the capacity of the battery this parasitic drain could, if the bike is not ridden every day, cause the battery to go flat.

Do you bother with a Pinlock?

Pillock now add a note saying not to use them at night. However, somewhere, I have a very old email from pillock saying they are suitable for use at night. I think they changed their stance to avoid any come back, ie. Arse covering. I always use the pillock. Ot takes a while to get them seated correctly but then I have no issues after that.
