1. The upside is that you can get all the Churches within Coventry But I’m not in Coventry.
2. Very best wishes to everyone for 2020.
3. Have a look here https://www.google.com/search?q=socket+sliding+tee+handles&tbm=isch&ved=2ahUKEwi5wYfw1-DmAhULIRoKHaLyCm8Q2-cCegQIABAC&oq=socket+sliding+tee+handles&gs_l=mobile-gws-wiz-img.3..30i10.19987.22032..23115...0.0..0.104.577.7j1......0....1.2TdBIDa_igA&ei=NqoLXrnOLYvCaKLlq_gG&bih=659&biw=1024&prmd=sivn&rlz=1C9BKJA_enGB693GB693&hl=en-GB My tools have been collected from about 1970 when I did all my own work on cars and bikes. I soon learnt cheap tools were a false economy with broken spanners, sockets and wrenches. Have fun with tools.
4. Hoggs warwickshire is a bit bare this year. You trying to make me put mile on the bike then.
5. You know, that’s what I thought when I took the photo. So it will be first non the list for the new year garage tidy up.
6. What tool addiction A small selection.
7. I wasn't back on a regular basis till July Ian.......so my stuff is just short term. It just seems longer.
8. Sort of. But can you get a socket on every nut and bolt? Indicators are often held on with a nut but you can’t use a socket as the cable is often fed through the bolt par and so you need an open ended spanner. All my fairings are held on with allen headed bolts.
9. So I need a set of spanners too?? Ideally, and Allen keys and JIS screwdrivers and tork drivers (if required on your bike). The list is never ending. Also change your bike and you end up needing another socket for the rear axel.
10. I have the Halfords pro ratchet spanners. Not had any problems. Also have these. but the levers to change rotation can move easily if caught causing bashed knuckles
11. I’ve had 3 Kawasaki’s and none were green. the black one was the quickest.
12. Not used imperial sockets regularly since I sold my Hillman Hunter. I still have a set of Metrinch spanner’s. They are good for rounded off fasteners as they grip on the flats and not the corners. A full metrinch socket set would be ideal but they are a tad expensive.

Xmas Thread!

Enjoy the peace and quiet @XTreme i have the stepdaughters and partners and a grand kid descending on us for Christmas, 3 of them for an extended period. @Hoggs is being sensible and staying in London. Still I’ll be seeing her in the New Year for quality time and the London bike show You going to be able to get out on the bike JRH? I would like to to get out for some peace and quiet. But earliest opportunity will be Saturday or Sunday. Weather permitting I will be out on New Year’s Day.

Oh yeah !

Merry Christmas to all.
19. Until fairly recent always had bikes with floating callipers. Needed to be taken off each year and pins cleaned and greased. Pistons pushed out and cleaned. But everything easy to access. Was Kwaks with tokicos though. Now have opposed pistons and it seems to be fine with just a thorough clean each year. I’m glad of that as splitting the calliper to get the pistons out seems to be a right pain.
20. Hoggs I’ll have a change. Number 9 please. 🏍 Thanks for organising the 2020 run around.
21. Where has the year gone. Thought I would get more time out on the bike to get tags now that work doesn’t get in the way. But That didn’t pan out ho2 I thought it would. Must try harder next year.
22. You're not meant to sit on them. You can laugh but a few years ago we had a spate of broken toilets on a ship. The crew had changed nationality and I'll not be specific but it turned out the daft sods were standing on the bowls and squatting. Civilization was not really their thing. They were replaced after a short time. Crew or toilets.
23. Snow and Ice Years ago when I had to commute on the bike I came off on black ice. Ended up on the floor still on the bike in the full riding position thinking this is not right what the **** happened fortunately was on the 125 so slid it to the kerb then lifted it up and carried on. Years later on the GT750 managed to get the front and rear wheels in different frozen snow wheel tracks. That was interesting.
24. +1
25. I think It’s because you are taught to pass the test and not necessarily to drive correctly all the time.
