1. That is the same arrangement as the Kwak GPX750. That bolt setting was about 20Nm (14.75 ft-lbs). But I used to nip it up to feel the "O" ring compressing. Fill the oil up and run it and check for leaks.
2. I used to play squash at last 3 times a week. Now umpteen years later my knees and ankles are buggered.
3. I meant longer in distance not time. well time as well. Work to home is 17 miles but in the summer it can be 40+ miles
4. BIKEVIS do a modulator for their small LED lights. Had some on the 1250 when I bought it. The LEDs twinkled, not flashed and they did attract your eyes. However both the LEDs and the modulator stopped working https://www.bikevis.com/product/bikevis-podmod-motorcycle-light-modulator/ Since been replaced with different LEDs but not the modulator.
5. Because he's a top bloke who wants to make sure he's not giving bikers a bad name by being a knob. Boring commutes are so much more fun on a bike! and often longer
6. Aha...but see SI 1998 No. 1807 - Motor Cycles (Protective Helmets) Regulations 1988 Reg. 4 (3)(a)(ii)..........I don't think this has ever been repealed? 4 (3) (a) (ii)is of a type manufactured for use by persons on motor cycles which by virtue of its shape, material and construction could reasonably be expected to afford to the wearer a degree of protection from accidental injury similar to or greater than that provided by a helmet of a type prescribed by regulation 5; That is open to a degree of interpretation with "reasonably be expected to".
7. From UK>GOV site Safety helmet standards All helmets worn on UK roads must meet one of the following: British Standard BS 6658:1985 and carry the BSI Kitemark UNECE Regulation 22.05 a European Economic Area member standard offering at least the same safety and protection as BS 6658:1985, and carry a mark equivalent to the BSI Kitemark
8. Gringo S has the visor. They look like my first helmet. A centurion from Halfords.

12. Beautiful roads by Eilean Donan Castle. would love to take the bike there. Only been in the car though.
13. Isn't that the abominable snowman in the picture.
14. The reply to that should be; "Safety boots are under the desk and if I give you a blank piece of paper can you design it"
15. goat just email your avatar to her. Then when she freaks out and leaves blaming stress you move up to her vacated position and organise the place.

21. It's a possibility but would have to see how SWMBO is getting on.
22. TitanBax there should be 2 intentions in the side of the top frame. This should give enough room to wiggle the coils out from 1&4 plugs with the fairing removed. I have the workshop manual for he GSF1250 and it does not list any other way to get the plugs out.
23. Scott oiler fitted.
24. Mistress Have a look at this thread. there is a wiring diagram for switching the feed to the heated grips. https://www.themotorbikeforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=64954&p=1011749&hilit=Heated+grips#p1011749
