Annoyingly my forks are in good condition chrome wise they are just very square in the places the knob head put them in the vice Picked up some shiny ones for 30 squid off ebay (guy had bought a banger Ninja, took the engine out... to put in his racing lawnmower! and was selling the rest of the parts!) Do they just do forks?

Ah crap one of mine is a bit sketchy. I got new seals and picked up some second hand forks as it turned out a previous owner thought a vice and sharp things were the best tools for removing stuff but hoping the new seals hold up for a bit longer as I'm sure changing the forks will result in me swearing and probably cutting all my knuckles

Good luck with the cbt also if you haven't already - get yourself some spanners and a Manuel and get into the habit of doing your pre ride checks and any light maintenence you can. Kymco are not the worst maker by a long shot but do need a little bit more love and being able to carry out basic maintenence will stand you in excellent stead going forward (also its really not too difficult so don't be scared to get stuck in! )

When I was doing my various training things my instructor said whilst you don't need to be aggressive you can't be overly passive - for example if you are toottling along and a car is right up your arse don't move slightly over to the left - hold your position in the centre because if you move over they will see if as as an invitation to pass (normally dangerously). Also some "big bike" people still give me crap like revving the hell out of it because I am filtering too slowly for their like. Ignore it and move over if there is a safe place to do so. Also they're not real bikers because we don't do shit like that to each other.
