Ride to Pidcocks in Notts Fri 29 Apr
mojobanana replied to a topic in Midlands & Lincs ride outs and meets
If it's not raining, I'll be there. Although I have seen warnings for thunderstorms on Friday.........not an omen at all, no. -
I've got a Kriega R25 and can verify that it is indeed waterproof (has been inadvertantly tested several times), and I've never noticed any issues with the straps being in the way for lifesavers. I like it as it's very adjustable, straps here there and everywhere and once it's on and strapped around your chest you'd never notice any weight on your back at all. Only thing to bear in mind is that as a lady your chest bumps may be a bit squished by the straps.

I never did a figure of eight till I was on a 500.... you'll go at your own pace and you'll be surprised how quickly you'll get used to doing things. In an hour you're already changing up and down a gear, the other gears are the same as that only faster! And if you don't do your CBT in a day, that's fine. It's not a test, it's training! -
Sunday 20th March ride out
mojobanana replied to Roadrunner's topic in Cambs & East Anglia Rideouts and Meets
Yeah, have a good ride mate, my foot's not right yet but will be out next week at the Rutland meet. 10.30 south shore cafe between Edith Weston and Normanton with a ride down to World of Bikes at Corby for bike shopping purposes. -
Re: sidi boots
mojobanana replied to iiisecondcreep's topic in Clothing, Luggage, Accessories and Security
I've had Sidi Vertigos since I've been riding, and frankly last week they prevented my foot bones from getting broke! Mine are an 8, but I'm usually a size 7. I've always found them quite comfortable and not bad to walk around in. They do leak like a seive but if you get some good socks (I've heard sealskinz are good) then you'll be reet. Or you can put your feet in plastic bags -
F*CK IT! Gotta do a presentation tomorrow to a bunch of strangers and fecking cacking it!

Don't worry Ruthie, as long as you're there that's the important thing! And you'll have less to carry on the bike, so if that's better for you then don't worry one jot.
