  1. I bought a red and white Harley Davidson and when I looked at the V5 it was registered as a Massey Ferguson tractor . When I complained to the seller he told me to just use it for ploughing fields . Oh well , Oi dangle me Durzells and mangle me Wurzels...
  2. You must have seen the TV series . It's been grinding on getting less and less funny for seemingly an eternity .
  3. Something like this would be a great laugh at an amusement park or at Butlins but it's not a motorcycle .
  4. No need , it's in your post . It's a Doohan l Tango E Scooter . Apparently it's registered as a Mobility Scooter . So Not far off the mark then .
  5. .
  6. Oh yeah . Well it makes a change from Guangzhou . That's where everything I order seems to come from .
  7. I can't see any reference to where it's made but I'd make an educated guess at China .
  8. I've got a roller bearing crank .
  9. For that money , why not ? It's just a bit of fun after all ..
  10. Most of mine are scaled up rubber models with a brushless motor and rudder only .
  11. Oh yes .
  12. Well , there's Facebook in general , and there's being in a specific special interest group . I'm in Coventry Bikers , Sportster Sickness , Keil Kraft models , and a few others . Absolutely invaluable for trading parts and advice and finding out about runs and events . The rest you can simply ignore .
  13. Same place that doesn't know a rec reg from an oil cooler .
  14. You would be surprised actually . I have read many accounts on the Sportster Sickness page about people buying Dynas and then coming back to Sportsters .
  15. Not a lot to be honest . Bigger and more comfortable maybe . The engine is more characteristic of the traditional image and sound of a Harley I suppose . There's no rational decision making when it comes to Harleys . You just see one and want one .
  16. I am not wealthy . I will have paid off the Sportster next Spring . Then begins the agonising process of having to sell it and find the right replacement at the same time .
  17. Next year I should be in the market for a Harley Dyna . Like the Sportster , have a very firm idea of exactly what I want right down to the model , the year and the colour . A few people have told me I'll be looking a really long time , and maybe I will . In the meantime , here it is , my perfect Harley . It's a great price for the mileage . The forward controls and comfey seat would have to go but this is exactly what I have my heart set on ..
  18. Back in the good ol' days we just slathered the parts that were likely to corrode or oxidise with ordinary grease and rode in all weathers until the bike turned black . Come the Spring we took it all off again with a brush and a jar of petrol .
  19. Don't worry me none , a Harley Davidson with run on Kentucky Bourbon , yes siree Bob .
  20. Take regular breaks and avoid heavy meals on very long trips . Tiredness can kill and I'm lucky to have hobbled away with severe bruising . I trashed a beautiful bike that would be worth a fortune these days though .
  21. The only bike I have ever had stolen was when I had no other choice but to park it in the street .
  22. One day they will turn off the petrol . It's a shame you can't get a test ride on a Sportster . These things are such a laugh to ride . I'm sure that you would be instantly hooked .
  23. Perfect .
  24. No mate not for me , I'm trying to get our friend Mr Dynax to step up to a big boy bike .
  25. Now is as good a time as any .
