Ah , the Forest of Bowland . I kind of " Discovered " that on paper , so to speak , by just looking at a map and trying to work out a scenic route to Scotland . It looks like a sort of enclave where no major roads have ever been built . I'd be interested in any more first hand information if you can provide it . .

A very enjoyable weekend . I got it into my head to go to Wales on Saturday afternoon so I grabbed just the basics for a one night camp and set off .

The next one's are all too far for me . I'd have set off straight after work in the rush hour and there's no fun in that . The A46 is choked with contraflow between Coventry and Warwick at the moment so that's a major obstacle to getting down to the Cotswolds .

I certainly will . I believe that the venue changes all the time . The last one was Moreton in Marsh I think.

The best bit was the young lady walking among the crowd with a tray of hot dogs and when they were all sold coming straight back with another tray full .

A brilliant night . The whole village was full of bikes . I have not seen such a diversity of bikes at a bike night in a very long time . There was definitely a few million quids worth to look at . As an added bonus there were no w**kers on quads , no stink of weed and no antisocial riding . Marvelous .

Well that's about right . Apparently the owner made the enormous crash bars and attached them to the swinging arm . You can't make it up . There is a proportion of Harley owners who are first time motorcycle owners and many of them really don't know anything about anything .

This is a pre 2004 Sportster with a genuine 500 miles on the clock . Any ideas why ?

The popular perception is that in olden times , people in the stocks were pelted with rotten vegetables and occasionally pissed on by a passing dog . It all seems like good natured fun but I wonder what really happened ? I bet thieves in particular were regularly beaten to a bloody pulp , and then pissed on but not necessarily by a dog .

It's just a little hobby of mine . Whenever I hear about a bike being stolen , I go on Google maps and sure enough , there's almost always a permanent Traveler site within a mile or so of the theft .

That's probably true . I think people still think Lidl and Aldi are cheap because years ago they were very very cheap . I can remember the 4p baked beans .

Absolutely not , I think this electric vehicle thing is the biggest con going . This thing will run out of resources quicker than the oil .

Sounds good . You will pay a Farrier , a Vet , a Cartwright and a Wheelwright to name but a few . You will also need to pay for vetinary insurance , grazing and livery and if we all follow your lead , we will need an army of people to scrape up all the shit from the roads .
