  1. Thank you .
  2. What damage ? You'll have to point it out to me .
  3. They are careful not to mention exactly which parts are missing . Probably the ones that stalled the project in the first place .

    Close call

If the numptys in the cars had overtaken the lorry one at a time miles back the coach driver may not have resorted to such a long and difficult overtaking manoeuvre .
  5. They are not holes , they are indentations . To my eyes the black area is simply a shadow . Obviously it's not an ideal situation but the alternative is to try to source a suitable piston and possibly hone the bore to bed in the rings . Is it really worth it ?
  6. Not wishing to appear smug but do you remember when I recommended one of these ?
  7. I'd run it .
  8. I will only drink Irn Bru in Scotland .
  9. Damn ! I knew I'd seen that shape before ! That's what happened to my socket style stud extractor .
  10. Food for thought .
  11. In the original photo I thought I saw more than one piece of metal . Can you post a close up of all of them on a plain background ? I'm really intrigued by this and I am good at recognising shapes so I'd like to have a better look . Cheers .
  12. Not really . Just Bell Mouths and bigger jets . ER5's are lively enough as it is and the gentleman who built it is considerably older than I am .
  13. You're going to have to check the valve seats and check for bent valve stems particularly the exhaust valves . Let's not think about bent Conrods at this stage .
  14. Kawasaki orange with a nod towards Laverda .
  15. As you all know , I am a great admirer of the humble ER5 . It often pains me to look at some of the dreadful attempts at customisation that appear on the ER5 FB page but every so often someone gets it right . Here you go , have a look at this recently completed project .
  16. Firstly you have to fill the calliper . Attach a long clear tube ( B&Q ) to the open bleed nipple and suck on it until fluid comes out without too many bubbles . Then try bleeding it again .

  18. It almost certainly does have linked brakes . I've no idea what the procedure is without getting hands on . Which lever are you pressing to bleed the rear calliper ?
  19. I think you've answered your own question .
  20. Do not mock the Messiah .
  21. The excitement is mounting in my beloved home town as we prepare for the honour of being the City of Culture 2021 . As you can already see we have embraced a wide diversity of artistic forms , some of which dare to challenge the accepted view of exactly , what is art ?
  22. Not fair to put Harley Davidson near the bottom because they are built to larger tolerances and consequently run on 20 / 50 mineral based oil in the engine and have separate oil in the primary drive and gearbox . They are also slower revving and have a roller bearing crank as well as pushrod operated valves . All of this accounts for Harley Davidsons , including Sportsters , being able to clock up enormous mileages with only the minimum of maintenance .
  23. Having taken part in various MAG mass demonstrations in the 1980s I think you may have missed the point . If the protesters assemble in sufficient numbers , the police lack the resources to make individual prosecutions .
  24. I actually meant kph but nonetheless , that's still high for a 125 cruiser .
