    9/11

I was thinking about this the other day; the idea of a child born with their birthday close to this day and how it's affected them.. How does Throttled Jr feel about the event? Do they find it has become a defining feature in their life and as a parent do you think you can see any personality traits that have been influenced by being so closely bound to this day? Or is it more slightly infuriating that something they don't have any recollection of has always been there to over shadow their birthday?

    9/11

I was born in the 80's Not sure about the adult thing in your case though 1991... I feel like an adult though! And I do remember 9/11.. I'd just got out of my primary school, year 6, and all the parents were talking about it..
  6. In Oct I'm busy First weekend and 22/23.. If we go for the last weekend, at least it gives people plenty of time to get plans in place, even if it means coming in the car Could even do Halloween fancy dress
  7. WELL!!! Click at your own risk..
  8. This always makes me thinks of large daft dogs, like the English sheepdogs, when they try to run with all that hair in their face! http://www.yourdog.co.uk/images/stories/blog2013/dog_hair_causing_gunk.jpg I don't know how they do it..
  9. (Sorry Throttled) Hmm Ok, so you think it's unreasonable for doctors to strike?
  10. Just like the junior Doctors ... I can never tell when you're joking..
  11. Woooooow Being the idiot I am I believed, from the title, that this thread was suggesting that a section be created for the little wives to talk to one another or for blokes to proudly show off their pillion pets. Which I thought was fairly disgusting in its own right. But am I right in thinking that you want a thread to share pictures of your wife, potentially with little clothing on, on an open forum?! http://mrwgifs.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/Ah...-Princess-Merida-Is-Confused-In-Brave-Reaction-Gif.gif Has your misses given you permission for this?? Or do you just want to look at other blokes-.. I can't even.. http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/vampirediaries/images/f/f9/Jenna-Marbles-I-Can What the flying f**k!
  12. Aye, nearly every tip I know has this "Nope, it's rubbish now" philosophy.. I remember the first time someone mentioned that they go to the tip and come back with more stuff than they left with and I had no idea what they were on about! Then I discovered that their local tip had an alladins cave of a shop attached to it! You're right, the things people throw away! Such a shame.. But the world we live in now just makes it too easy to buy shiny and new for pennies..
  13. Glorian. This is the next TOGS meet you twonk! We agreed this *Drags my team mates into a corner to chat* Sorry about this folkes, normal service resumed shortly!
  14. Then regurgitated..
  15. Have a great day you Old Soak!
  16. Hah! Rennie has a post for every Newbie ever to join the forum!
  17. Yeah I've been thinking about this on and off all afternoon and I think I'm the same..
  18. Ohhh this has actually made me think.. All I can hear is "Mirror, Signal, Manoeuvrer" .. I'm like Glorian, watching my mirrors a lot as a general riding habit, so it would be life saver then indicate for me.. If you indicate first you could cause a vehicle that's in the way to make some weird evasive move from panicking you're going to careen into the side of them.. Knowing my luck I'm wrong and you're meant to indicate then check! Tends to be all in one fluid motion for me
  19. Haha... Hahaha... Hahahahaa!! .... Ok I felt this pain for.. Well as long as I've been biking actually. As a lad you might be slightly better off... I have the fun of small feet, slim ankles and calves like a shot-putter.. I ended up going with a pair of Sidi Vertigo lei's (Yes, I know woman boots, bear with me..) http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-rRJRrxkGEpU/TkCF4lyVe0I/AAAAAAAAEIc/cIayl6Kjmg0/s1600/Sidi-Womens-Vertigo-Lei-Boot-SIS-VRL-BKBK-37.jpg The reason I went for these is that at back of the calf there's an adjuster, which means you loosen them right up, put them on then do the zip up. Once you're in you can twist the adjuster at the back to tighten the boot round the calf! Hope this helps You can get blokes variant of them
  20. I learnt to ride a year before I got my car test sorted.. Completely depends on the situation for me. For the daily commute I use the car because I can't keep my bikes at my current house, however throughout Uni I used the bike in all weathers.. The car is always used for food shop runs, because the days of doing that on the Bandit were not that fun.. If we all go away for a weekend camping, I tend to drive and bundle everyone and all their luggage in the car.. Mainly cos I'm the only biker in my group at the moment so it just makes more sense..
  21. Well aren't you all a cheerful bunch! Jeez.. So much to look forward to..
  22. Not a bad idea there actually! Had never thought about forcing a retest.. Even if it's not a full test, more of an observed drive. I have a friend who Swears that middle lane driving is just plain safer. We have had many debates.
  23. Woo! Have a great day Tango
  24. I adore my gopro, though she's a bit old now! If nothing else, the mounts that come with them are Brilliant, I have never worried about my cam falling off.. The drift looping does sound very useful though, not entirely sure if GoPros have the capability for this.. Edit: After a quick google, it turns out that yes, GoPros can loop! So thanks Mr_W, I had never even thought about doing this while out on the bike x
  25. Surely part of gofundme and all the like is that it's a risk.. I thought that you had to agree to a waiver that says "If this falls through, shit happens" ? I have to admit I don't go on those websites much, I probably should as I've heard some Cool stuff come out of them but just never consider it on my lunch break..
