I love that being called a snowflake is the knee jerk response to anyone calling people out on the internet these days. Plus isn't a snowflake a term for someone who is easily offended, yet a page back I just said I wasn't offended? Ok then. My anecdata based on my observations is that those that are quick to call people snowflakes to try and shut down a debate seem to be pretty insecure themselves. Sharing memes and stories about how the mean snowflakes are taking their "right to free speech" away, going on about immigration and a downfall of Christianity changing the world they live in etc etc etc Probably not true in all cases, but for a huge chunk that I've witnessed. One day I'll work out what the anti-snowflakes are getting so offended by, since they hate snowflakes and are such resilient folks.

... Cold gif, bro. Shireen never deserved that shit. Oooh, now that you have your solution sorted, can we derail this into a GoT thread?

Yeah good idea to keep trying once the new ones here (honestly I'd already jumped ahead to sanding the glue off to start spraying! ) You'll def have to report back once you've spent some time with it as no doubt someone else will have this problem again in the future. Also, small side note. If you do decide to spray paint the panels, just make sure you seal them properly after. I've had a bike which I bought off a friend for pennies, which a previous owner had tried to repaint it and without the proper sealant, it's just quite susceptible to petrol damage. It's not noticeable at first, but after a few times at the petrol station where you've dropped a little petrol on the tank, you could just start to see the drip marks. Looking forward to project pics

I'd be very interested to know where your threshold is on this. By the following use of snowflake I would assume you mean "Millennials". Aww, sounds like a really sweet thing for him to try, I'm sorry it didn't work out well. You know what you need to do now though? Take off the old 'glued' panel. Strip it down and use it for practice, go to Halfords and find an auto spray paint in a colour you like. Once you're happy, get the new panel you've ordered and the other panel on the bike and spray them mad colours of your own choosing Learning a new skill while making your bike very unique and personalised to you!
6. Looks really good! And the fact it doesn't look like a bike shed is a massive bonus in my mind, will stop the opportunist thieves having a look.
7. What actually happened Ginneth was that I *totally* saw you all in the car park standing around, and I thought to myself, ooh I will have a nice little blast down this road see where it goes whilst that lot are gassing about. Totally didn't just miss 15 bikers and start to wonder where the hell everyone was after I have been going along for 15 minutes. Was a great ride though Hey, it gave us slow pokes at the back time to catch up! We were very grateful for you making the most of the waiting time, to go and have a spin with Charlie.
8. Pictures of the decimation? The delightful insert also says GLASS WINDOW which should have been a clue Capture.JPG Amazing! When ever something is being shipped from china, i expect 4-6 weeks and a 50% chance it will be destroyed before it arrives.

10. Yeah that was the one, was gutted for Aarons little brother as he was super nervous about then carrying on the ride pillion on another bike. I mean we have had forum rides where people properly chucked their bike down the road, fairings ripped off all th rest. So we got off lightly really! As far as I know no ones ever collided with a sheep on the Cat n Fiddle, but it's certainly been a close call once or twice! (As I can attest to myself...)
11. Did something go wrong with his bike? I remember I was in the car that year and had a toolkit that I lent him. Can't quite remember what was wrong though Had the car reverse into the road in front of him, causing emergency braking when he had a new pillion on the back. Bike went down and if I remember rightly it was the lefthand footpeg that snapped off Was only in the first few minutes of the ride out too, so though it wasn't too far to get it back, it sucked for him to miss out on the ride; especially as his pillion was there to say goodbye to his brother.
12. Apart from teh repeat visits to collect the parts that are missing Funnily enough we originally went in because in the house move we had bent a few IKEA specific screws and mildly destroyed the back panel of the wardrobe, and so were going cap in hand to ask for spares, which they happily arranged for us for no charge! Was very impressed. However, a quick trip for a few screws, did end up being two hours of wandering about, a trolley full of new goodies we hadn't planned for (yet) and a shopping list for next month when we're going back
13. Wasn't that because OhJay had missed one of the corner markers and kept going straight, taking the rest of the tail with him? Also the same year that Hoggs missed the full ride turning off into a carpark and went Hooning off down Derbyshire country roads and her SO had to go chasing after to bring her back into the pack! I think ride outs are more fun when they don't go to plan sometimes! Though I did feel awful for Throttled that year too.
14. "Everyone knows what they're doing". The first year this happens on a rally ride, I'll be really impressed! Though you do take on quite the task of trying to keep 40 riders all together LTF you've had some great advice from others, and despite my ribbing Stu I'm sure the ride will go great. Staggering and keeping in your place in the line will always be my main bugbears in group rides. There is nothing more irritating that having people constantly changing their road position and having everyone along the snake tail have to adjust for them or that one rider who just has to be further up in the queue over taking everyone (which then only causes more chaos in the stagger). DonnieBrasco and MegaWatt, I am looking at you! Hope your ride goes really well, give us an update after x
15. We went to IKEA at the weekend, so that's my DIY done for this month
16. Ohh that looks really nice Via ! Some really cool stuff in this thread, love Benders work too, that mirror is gorgeous. I was thinking about this recently. For me it was the fashion of having three solid colour walls, normally a dark colour, and then one wall with mad textured wall paper. Kinda like this: Normally seen in a living room Way smaller than this... Been in a couple where the dark colours make it all feel very claustrophobic. This isn't even going into clothing fashion. I've seen pictures of people looking really proud in their luminescence shell suits...! What awful gaffs are we making now that will really not age well? (Looking at you top-knot man buns... )
17. Awful news, even if the reporting is lacking..
18. Ooohh... Sleep ones! You may have convinced me on this one.. Though I will need to save for a little while
19. Woops! Missed the bit about no music. My bad..! Ok so these are my default in that situation. I buy a pack of like 50 sets (each in their own little baggy) and just keep a few pairs in my desk draws. Equally I find that music with lyrics really distracts me, so I tend to either listen to game / film soundtracks or similar instrumental music. I have a few playlists or saved vids on Youtube (each an hour or so long) that I put on when I really need to concentrate. More than welcome to send the links for some of these if you'd like
20. So, not noise cancelling, but I pretty reliably go back to these. Pretty cheap but good volume, sound quality and rugged. I normally have a pair in my rucksack, car glovebox, biker jacket and a pair draped over the PC at home. I find they stay in place really well and don't ache in my ears when in for a long time or in under the helmet either, which I've had with other headphones in the past. Actually using a pair to listen to music in my office at the mo and can't hear a thing apart from Green Day For noise cancelling I've tended to buy ones like these. I can't find the ones in particular I used to wear, but these are basically the same thing and still fit nicely under a helmet if you wanted to use them away from the office. Hope this helps!
21. Apart from the risk of massive coronary brought on by the price of the f*cking ticket, of course. Clubcard vouchers Much like pizza, if you ever play full price you've been mugged! So many vouchers about.
22. Yet still play the lottery! We went to Alton Towers a while after the accident and found the queue for the smiler was really short, which was great cos it's a cracking ride Glad it's worked out for you OP, like others have said check your policy for pillion cover and ensure your little one is clothed in the right kit.
23. Going to play Devils Advocate a little. Just from what you've said I am guessing that you and your ex aren't on the best terms. If you don't mind me asking, if the ex has said right from the start that your lass going pillion is out of the question, where did the helmet and gear come from? Was this bought before or after the mum stated her views? Did you ride while you and your ex were together or is this something you've picked up after the split? This conversation is about WAY more than what some bikers off the internet think about kids going on bikes. You obviously consider yourself self enough of a rider to take her, but your ex apparently doesn't (or you her have more issues between you, which she's using as a way to get back at you) and that's a whole other conversation.
24. I'm so sorry you're out of action, it's no fun at all Take it easy and I hope you heal up quickly, try to find another hobby to occupy you in the meantime.
