rear wheel has 1 axle the bolt that goes through the rear wheel slacken axle nut sufficently ( does not have to be extremely loose ) use chain adjusters to tighten chain enough and to ensure wheel alignment is correct tighten axle nut recheck tension and wheel alignment you should technically tighten chain adjusters to tighten chain and loosen to loosen chain tension .

so there is your answer . Sadly it is still down to YOU as driver/rider to make sure vehicle is road legal . The fact the vehicle was sold with 3 months mot not twelve is a seperate matter and will not exempt you from receiving a fine . This you need to chase up and deal with the seller . im amazed you have managed 4 months without being pulled over with anpr .

devils advocate here you as a driver are legally responsible to ensure that your vehicle is fit to be used on the public highway. at point of sale all relevant paperwork should have been checked by yourself as a paper note would have been issued . How did you tax the vehicle if you had no mot as tax is non transferable ? Have you checked the mot status on the .gov website ?

are you sure that when your applying front brake hard you are not inadvertently applying more throttle hence the back feeling unsettled as your finger clenches the levers ..your thumb will also clench and this can roll rhe throttle on as unless its linked brakes then the rear should not lock front braking alone unless bike is stalling in which case you need to time your clutch application better.

without seeming stalkerish .. when you zoom into this picture there is a darker spot in the same place that says to me its been there a while

because how will you know you're bikes been nicked .... unless you're constantly refreshing the page everytime you're away from the bike . otherwise bike has been nicked 5 hours earlier they have found the phone and dumped it .and all your heading to is the phones location . Similar with trackers ... there are only so many places to fit one on a bike and if found they will be removed . best ones are the ones that physically report from the word go otherwise its a game of pot luck

I'm definitely along the same lines, a number of years ago me and a friend were riding through a village at 30 because it was a 30 limit I look in my mirror to see we had a car about 5 ft from our rear wheels as we were riding side by side so with that iv said for my mate to pull in front so anyway a short time later it went in to a 50 limit and I started speeding up to 50 but before i did I checked my mirrors for find no car behind us so thought he must have turned down the road we had just gone past.......ohhh no he didn't he decided his battered old Nissan micra could out pace a ninja to the speed limit so I casually accelerated at the same speed and then a car appears coming the other way about 1/4 mile down the road and apparently I was the 1 who should give way go the overtaking prick as he was motioning for me to slow down so he could pull back to his side of the road, he then decided he was going to use his car to move me and pushed me in to a bus stop which took the indicator of the front of the fairing at which point I saw red so having my bike chain in the tank bag draped across the top of it I set off in pursuit with lights flashing and me motioning for him to pull over at which all I got was him giving me the finger so I calmed down slightly and followed him until traffic forced him to stop I pulled up beside him and smashed his windscreen with my chain so that he couldn't drive at which point my mate catches us up to watch the spectacular show.....oh and I was using a helmet cam at the time which caught everything so I passed it to a friend of mine who is in the police and the guy in the car was seen by him.....point of this is dont mess with a bikers bike unless you are happy to deal with the consequences which the bike rider will inevitably dish out you may have been in the right as with regards to his overtaking ...but is there any point in being DEAD right ?

It will possibly cost you £40 membership for roadside for 12 months which entitles you to roadside assistance and if not repairable one local recovery to either a place of repair or destination of your choice in that distance ie 10-20miles Then on top of that you need to add £99 surcharge If however you wish to go further than local you will need to upgrade to the national package which will be for example an extra £60 BUT as in the first 24hrs of membership you are limited to 50miles free anything above that is chargeable at a current rate of £2.40/mile So If its within 50 miles of home its going to cost you roughly £200 in that instance Local.companies/individuals may be cheaper but its finding that individual . So i would always consider having at least basic coverage in some form if money is an issue to negate that surcharge .

Work out what do you want from it Do you want it to Cover you as a Rider/passenger/driver in any vehicle Or Just cover that one vehicle Do you want cover at home if flat battery or puncture on dricewsy or cover that starts 1/4 mile away from home address .. ie if flat battery at home you won't be covered . Do you want local roadside cover that will attend and if not repairable recover you within a certain distance ie up to 20miles Or do you want national coverage that you will be recovered to anywhere within the Uk . Unlimited callouts or fixed number Coverage of patrols and level of competence ..ie are they going to take ages to attend and can they repair a tyre themselves or are they going to just recover you. Don't just base your choice on price alone ...

has the chain be readjustment since new sprockets etc .... as you say it started to happen after a longish ride ...check simple things first .
