  2. That would be brilliant, but out of stock and discontinued, I shall have more of a furtle to see if anyone else does a similar thing - thanks. Loads of them around, thanks for that, I’ll see if I can get one in time they do a new version with a sae connector ... which you can buy an adapter cable to convert from tamiya to sae
  3. Tamiya to usb https://www.infinitymotorcycles.com/product/optimate-m79-o101-uni-usb-charger-extended-tm?gclid=CjwKCAjw06LZBRBNEiwA2vgMVducEEl4nQywGXJRDM1woOA_l1hAniyyNUCTcb5bKawstt4HL7mcGRoCDAIQAvD_BwE i think you mean male plug as the lead sticking out on your bike will be female ( its has the other connector slide into it these can be found in most infinity/ good bike stockists
  4. No unless it has a charge rate less than 1 amps motorcycle batteries may not be recognised by most car chargers but anything over 1amps may severely damage the battery or cause to explode

  6. but reading previous post "the engine note changes and though the speed continues to rise the revs seem to pause around this spot," would suggest its not clutch slip as speed increases but then reading the secondary post would give impression of clutch slip Have you just bought bike and wonder if previous had aftermarket exhsust on and removed and not remapped to standard exhaust
  7. is it on stock exhaust ?
  8. using multimeter probes ( if they have pointy ends) pierce the wiring at points to see if power reaching places etc . Or try powering the bulb holder connecting socket from a 12v source ie bits of wire from battery +ve and -ve so you can rule that out ... then work your way back to next connection etc etc general set up is battery powers relay that then outputs to the switch which then selects which indicator to send the power to so from bulb holder work back to switch add power ... etc etc
  9. pmr distance vs bluetooth pmr wins especially if using between cars and bikes . plus you don't get random taxi and baby monitor broadcasts on bluetooth ...

  11. check that the plug is tight and its not missing the sealing washer . my old xl100 had a similar issue but because thread had started to go on the head for the plug and was leaking past .... had to helicoil eventually when thread fully went and popped plug( did ride bike with a leather belt holding plug in place to get home )
  12. I changed the carb because old one was cutting out when I took choke was off and also fuel/air screw was missing if you had issues prior to carb change you may have an air leak ... hence old carb only run on choke and new carb struggles to run properly . check all pipework is intact and carb to engine rubber is not leaking .
  13. did it run ok before changing carb ? Why have you changed the carb ?
  14. is it idling at the right speed ? try turning the idle up slighty before tweaking anything !
  15. remember most of the content is of riders who either are advanced or been riding a long time . before you attempt to emulate their actions make sure you understand why they are doing that .. ie Road positioning .... Simple enough concept of left hand bend you move out towards centre line to enhance view BUT understanding the other aspects Why you should not move towards the centre line ie safety before view is what will keep you alive and keep learning .. some of the online videos are in my opinion the worst way to learn but thats my opinion
  16. soak in brake and clutch cleaner ... remove as much of larger deposits you can with a non metallic scraper or even a soft wire brush ( brass ) then use fine grit paper to hone . as the seal sits on piston it will give a bit more tolerance to seal if minutely oversized but don't gouge or heavily mark the faces . and agree with piston popping ... seen fingers split open on brake calipers where trapped between piston and caliper .

    Carb Chaos

re screws .. dont use posidrive bits . if you have a multibit screwdriver kit use the standard crossheads give the bits a few gentle tap into the screws before attempting to turn .and depending on screwdriver type gently tap as you turn try applying boiling water in the screw area ( pour onto screws localised area ( dont submerge carbs

    Carb Chaos

trying to remember if the carb bowls have drain taps . if so undo and keep tapping bowls whilst flushing fuel through may help .

    Carb Chaos

you may need to balance the carbs after removal
  20. Did they work perfectly before ? Do all Bulbs including dash indicator work ? Are they aftermarket indicators? Are they LED indicators ?
  21. An the control lever/ switch and the wires in the middle and the timing thingy and the fuse, they all need to work. It would be so much easier if it could only mean the bulb! But if you keep it in mind next time your trying to decide if that flashing bulb is telling you of their intention to turn or that they are blissfully unaware of their misleading signals and will gladly drive into you if you pull out in front of them it makes your decision process a lot easier to just think ...I'll wait a bit longer but at least the bulb works .
  22. You do them in, because registering for the forum was a tough passage and I earned this membership. Stu's forums passage was nice and smooth when i joined ....
  23. Flashing indicator means only 1 thing ... The bulb works .
