  1. .....and statistically, nine out of ten people enjoy gang-rape. Now where were we.......
  2. Tim that is not a bad deal for that kind of jacket. If they have XL size can you give us their number?
  3. I use HV when riding at night. I would be interested to read any statistics/facts to say that HV wearers are involved in less accidents than non-HV wearers (in the daytime), anyone got any links? I also have here two HV Backpack/Rucksacks that I don't use if you want one PM me your address and I will send them on.
  4. Got my ticket today and will be there on the 1st.
  5. Yes, good friend of mine has one and they tick all the boxes. Good price too.
  6. Have a look at these........ http://www.motohaus.com/acatalog/Nady_MRC-11X_Intercom.html
  7. I could meet up with you later on Sunday afternoon as I am going away in the morning and will be back Sunday lunchtime.
  8. I finish work at 1024 in the morning but I have to be up at 0330 for that (0425 start). As for my bike I use it all the time for everything and am going to use it all winter too.
  9. If it is not raining then I will go. It is a boring run though, M23/M25 then a very busy A road through west London. Count me in as I say if it's not pouring down....
  10. Hmm. I am on at 0424 on the Monday morning so I will put in for the day off. Watch this space....
  11. Interesting day to say the least. Left early, got to the chalet at 1030 after meeting Harry half way. Sat around for a bit then went off to get Jin who was waiting at Pease services. Rode back to the chalet with her then sat down for a bit and someone wanted to get on riding so a few of us set off on a quick local bimble around the block Except (obviously) we didn't exactly go around the block we ended up down some dodgy country lane. (lost) After a quick plan of action we returned to the chalet to find everyone else had gone so we set off after them..... Gets down to Brighton and parked up along the top road. Got hold of some one, think it was Harry to be told everyone was going over to Bury Hill....... We wait around for a bit, had a drink and that and sat around chatting. Eventually set off avoiding the crowds to the petrol station near Woodingdean. Two things bad happened there. First off, that had no bog and I was dying for a wee. Second, CF only goes and does a slo-mo almost comedy fall to the left and narrowly avoids getting caught under her bike. I jumped off mine and helped pick it up. Fortunately nothing was broken. We set off then towards Falmer over the downs. Nice little run on to the A27 then on towards Bury Hill except I was bursting for a wee so had to come off at Hove and go to the pub. By then I thought they would be too far away to catch up so I headed off home although the long way. Anyhow, if you not bored stiff after reading this then enjoy the pics, these are all I could get.... Check out the Reg plate..... http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e200/pprune/Image362.jpg Gorgeous CF in the sun............ http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e200/pprune/Image364.jpg Our bikes on the front......... http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e200/pprune/Image363.jpg
  12. ..............and back in the room* Just looking back the list of attendees is this; My Good Self, HarryCPR, Clashfan83, Sluggsy, MonkeyKnuckle, SuperMe79 Stones(?) Jin. General gist of it is to meet up at The Chalet just south of Cowfold. Jin is going as far as Pease services as she knows the way there so I will go and meet her and ride back to The Chalet with her. Once this has happened we can leave for Brighton riding down towards Poynings then heading up towards Devils Dyke then dropping down into Brighton itself. We can run straight down Dyke Rd into the middle of town and that will join us up with the A23 right down by the Pavilion in town. The seafront, Madeira Drive is just a few min's away then. Don't forget that they want a fiver if you want to ride and park on the drive itself like we did at the Ace run. Before you all start moaning the fiver goes straight to the British Heart Foundation. I think you all have my number in case of any problems on the day. So, I will be at The chalet around 1030.......
  13. Andy, there will be a few of us just off the A272 just south of Cowfold. I will be meeting Jin at around 11am at Pease services then returning to The Chalet to join up with the others if you want to meet us?
  14. I will be there on the Monday. (1st)
  15. Hi mate. Remember the evening sun is quite low and bright in the winter so maybe a dark tint for this time of year....
  16. So Jin. He wont be hugging me! What part of did you not understand...... :D
  17. Jin is coming down again for this and she knows the way to Pease so I will shoot up there and pick her up then ride back down to the chalet with her.
  18. That looks like a good little pub, although I think you would get more of a response in the London and Hampshire forum. North West London is a bit far for some in the South East.
  19. Someone mentioned they will be at The Chalet at 11am so I will be there for then.
  20. What do I wear? Leather jacket £150. (was 299) No idea what make it is. Padded and has armour in it. Richa leather trousers, armoured £150. Buffalo gloves with kevlar protection £40. Shoei Raid II £160. Oxtar boots £90. All brand new from a friend of a friend who runs the clothes business of the local bike shop. (Steve at Bikes of Brighton - cheers mate) All the above were reduced quite a lot, I done well I think. Why do you wear it? (cost, comfort etc) Simply because when I went to buy he said "you will need these" and proceeded to kit me out in the above. I didn't really have a say in it, just took his word and trusted him really. Cost didn't come into it as I had a budget, told him how much I had and he sorted me out. In your opinion, which brand is 'the best' and why? Don't know really. When I renew my gear I will go for word of mouth of what my mates are wearing then go and see Steve!!!! Had some Joe Rocket summer gloves last year and they were pants to be honest, never again. Has put me off buying anything with JR on it now. So, I have helped you out, do I get a discount on a back protector?!?!?!
  21. Yep. Just been out and about at work and it is windy and quite rainy. Millions of leaves down now too thanks to the strong wind this evening so the back roads will be quite challenging I imagine. It is still windy now but the rain has eased off a little. Forcast predicts the same all day
  22. Well, I can go on this but may have to head off early as I have something else on later. If the weather is like it is today, rainy and very windy then I will give it a miss. Anyone else going, so far we have me, Harry and Clashfan.......
