  1. My BMW is 19 years old and the injectors have never been cleaned.. i doubt that they are the cause of your problem. go to ebay or your nearest decent motorfactors and buy a bottle of wynns dry fuel.. and add this when you brim the tank. this will firstly remove any water from the tank and secondly, clean the injectors.
  2. DAS.. including CBT and if you have been driving for 20 years that either means you began at age 3 or are over 24 and can go for the full A license. plenty of people have gone from zero experience to a full license in just a month or so. of course it all comes down to money and how much you can afford and how determined you are.
  3. I ordered one today too.. The seat on my bike isn't bad... But I've a week of daily long rides, ending with a 500 miler and so.. Every little helps (as they say) rather the price of this than the silly amount for an airhawk. Or an aftermarket seat.
  4. Oddly enough I don't bother much about tread depth. What I look at is the flat spot and consider whether the tyre will be alright based on that. If push comes to shove it's easy enough to get a new tyre fitted almost anywhere in Europe. But, that shouldn't happen as it's easy enough to tell if the tyre will last the course. I also have a healthy lack of respect for these so called instant puncture repairs. 2 reasons. First, if I get a puncture, I want to know about it... Examine it so I know it's not a tear. Second... I want it repaired properly. Which I can do myself, assuming it's repairable in about 10 minutes. Or if it is a tear... Arrange a replacement. This is what I buy European rescue for. You can use these various in-tyre sealants. But they are not for me.
  5. Lovely colour.
  6. Yes.. but bear in mind its not so 'flexible' as to be a summer jacket, its not highly vented.. its designed for winter. spring and autumn. once the weather improves and it gets warm.. you will be putting it away until October. But the plus side is it uses the laminate https://tinyurl.com/y6nftmbf which is the best you can get and has the truly remarkable D30 armour. I will be wearing mine as per usual.. but also bringing my FC Moto summer jacket to the eifel.. necessary if its anything like as hot there as it was the past couple of times.
  7. Came across this on my wanderings and its at a great price compared to an airhawk. for.. if your seat gets painful after a relatively short amount of time. https://skyoutdoor.store/products/airseat™ compare with the original https://tinyurl.com/y3eomz44
  8. Came with it Even better.. that back protector was originally an optional upgrade for that jacket.
  9. Oh dear.. no popcorn and its raining too.
  10. only thing you need.... https://tinyurl.com/y5357wcp to match the arms and shoulders.
  11. what do you do? plug it in and press enter... ctrl-alt-del might be fun.
  12. If I didn't already have a perfectly good suit, I would have gone for this in a flash.. Either jacket or trousers or both. Only problem for me would be the trousers as I need the C3 size. And these were often special order, or limited stock that quickly sold out. I was lucky enough to come across a grey dealer and so paid almost £400 under rrp for my jacket. But I had to take a risk and not get the warranty. Only problem with mine has been the button loops that hold the liner sleeves have broken. No big deal. Even without the original warranty both parts are guaranteed waterproof for life with goretex. And that will always be one of the best reasons for buying this brand.. Or any other that use that material.
  13. I asked the hotel owner a quick question last night and as part of his reply he asked if we still needed 8 rooms. I told him 'No', that i was going to message and probably cancel a room at the weekend. But, no... just 7. Thats alright.. just takes an email to get it back. Usually.. the week we go, just after 'back to school day'. We have the hotel mostly to ourselves as well as the roads. once all the locals are safely at work. Its a big ask. looking for someone to join up with bunch of random strangers.. year after year. Easier when there are months to go, which is why I tend to set the ball rolling in January. Which allows time for questions to be asked and answered and minds satisfied that this isnt a money making scam or anything like that. I treat it as my holiday and invite people along. simple. We go to The Eifel/North Luxembourg for 2 years in a row.. and then somewhere else, year 3, for a change. Then back again, to The Eifel. its a firm favourite.. a hidden gem, that most people bypass en route to the Nurburgring or further east and south avoiding french Toll motorways. Huge.. beautiful.. roads like silk.. empty of traffic and tourists.. a varied landscape of low mountains, winding valleys. plateaux. And the Rhine/Mosel. All, within a very easy days ride of the Tunnel. We will be back in 2021.
  14. A road legal kit car that mimics a certain race car 'type'. OK.
  15. No.. I don't. Aside from Bonio who bought a pair of pants second hand off eBay and they leaked. I suggested he contact Goretex and they were sent away. He got a cheque from them to buy a new pair. Which he did. Rukka. But i will make 2 points. 1. 'That 5yr warranty with loan replacement" does not apply to gloves. It never has. 2. Rukka do not make boots.
  16. I saw K.I.S.S and thought it was a typo. This is why its a good idea to put your bike on your profile. It looks like it might be chipped. Best to see a Kwak dealer. what does your owners manual say?
  17. Some insurers will class this as a "locked compound" they will ask you a few odd questions like: is the garden fully fenced. how high are the fences. is there a second route of access that is not locked.. etc. A locked compound is almost as good as a garage. because what they are concerned about is risk. The bike is secured. out of sight. behind a locked gate. etc. A Honda dealership will be able to confirm if the bike has HISS. the giveaway is normally a chipped key fob. so.. you can only turn on the engine with this and an ordinary key.. cut at any locksmith will not work. the red warning may have been disabled.. as I can do on my bike. You do not get a red key anymore. Does the key look like this? (mine which is chipped)
  18. you will already have a secondary colour. Black. Maybe just add some highlights by using stock stickers. Keep it simple, less is more.
  19. Bump. Last chance.. I will be cancelling the room on Friday. And so, there will be 7 of us going. BTW. coming with us this year means you will get an automatic invite for our 12 day trip to the Black Forest, Austrian Alps and Dolomites next year. The B500. Grossglockner High road and a day (or two or more) in the Dolomites. That trip will not be an open invite.. as I will need people I know and can trust. (and spaces will be limited.) https://www.grossglockner.at/gg/en/index
  20. took me a minute. https://www.motorcyclespareparts.eu/en/honda-parts/53232mj4670 the part number is 53232MJ4670 also Fowlers have it in stock.
  21. Thing about Rukka.. is if you buy from a dealer. first you get either a 5 or 6 year warranty and that warranty means - any problem, take it back to the dealer and they will give you a loan replacement while your own gear goes away. if it cant be repaired then you get 'New'. Thats handy if you rely on it.. and want at least a fair amount of security/ VFM. It also reflects quite well on the Q.C at the factory. Once the Rukka warranty expires then the garment is still guaranteed for life. By Goretex. this is what you are paying for.
  22. ride the best condition bike in the summer and the other in the winter.
  23. Different name - same thing.
  24. I have a space available for our annual week away in the Eifel Mountains and North Luxembourg. This for the week Saturday 7 to Saturday 14th September. Only up front cost is a tunnel crossing and a room for the overnight stay (sat 7th) at Ashford Premier inn. Both of which you book yourself. Very simple. It's week of fairly relaxed, stress free rides. In a fantastic environment. Part of a friendly, welcoming group. German roads have to be seen to be believed. Absolutely perfect for a new rider, newly passed, wanting to improve your skills or ride with a group, or perhaps you don't know anyone local to ride with. Only demand from me is that you have a bike that's fine for motorway speeds and you can ride 65 miles in one go and that it's had a recent service and is ready to go. 65 miles is about as far as we ride on the way there, in one go before having a rest stop. If you can strap a bag on the pillion with a couple of changes of clothes and a weeks worth of undies. That's all you need. No need to fret about a lack of panniers and so on. I'm just taking a 50l dry bag. We stay in a budget, but still... Rather pleasant hotel on the outskirts of a very small town. Half board. Double room. En suite. On a quiet and very safe side street. Cost for your room is €40 per night. No sharing. Other costs are a light lunch each day... Nothing expensive or fancy. Beer and petrol. We are going in 5 weeks. And I will be cancelling the room in the next week or so. There was no deposit, so no worries. I see a few new riders have joined the forum and might be interested. Have a think and if you are interested send me a message and I'll happily answer any questions you might have. If you are interested... Act fast. Cheers.
  25. they did send you the right one? NGK CPR7EA-9 (or equivalent)
