  1. and with even more fuel economy. the DCT version.
  2. a simple "No" would have sufficed.
  3. yes.. and i know my place.
  4. Blue passports.
  5. I don't understand why you are even asking. You want to ride a 125 only.. so do the test that allows this without L plates. or.. don't, and just redo your CBT every 24 months. its a binary choice and purely down to your own budget and enthusiasm. (or lack of)
  6. The Tory party has always seen the wealthy as their priority.. and the mega wealthy in particular. These people are staring down the barrel of a gun. The anti-tax avoidance directive which comes into force in January. Which is all about ensuring the wealthy pay their fair share. Everyone else does, but these people use all sorts of loopholes and other mechanisms to move money about so its not counted as taxable.. and they colectively save Billions in the process. This wont affect anyone you know.. but it will affect the string pullers. people like Newspaper owners. Multi-millionaires like Jacob Rees-Mogg. Farages backers. Also.. The currency speculators in 'the city' are very much aware that the moment we pass the final brexit hurdle, The value of the £ will drop and there are millions to be made on betting that that will happen. So.. as far as a lot of the Government are concerned its all about helping the mega rich. For a lot of others (ordinary back bencher Tory MPs) its about fear of deselection. Say 'NO' to Brexit in the current Tory party and you can kiss your career as an MP goodbye, Even if your local party doesnt get rid of you then you face losing any future election with both the Brexit Party and Lib Dems taking a bite out of your majority. There is also a third reason. The next election, The Tories absolutely must have this before that effects of Brexit hit home. Before people realise that 'project fear' was actually a reality that the government itself is planning for.. as much as they can. Leave it too late and they haven't a chance. So they must have it before the shit hits the fan.. and time is running out. Thats why they want it so badly.
  7. The current one.. also known as the Holocene/Anthropocene extinction event. No. The sixth one .... So we're still going after the first 5 so.. you googled 'mass extinction events' and didn't bother to read about them.. well done you.
  8. The current one.. also known as the Holocene/Anthropocene extinction event. No.
  9. Thats because the Ozone layer is not connected or relevant to the current mass extinction.
  10. no. Its mainly about preventing corrosion on all of the chains unsealed inner and outer surfaces.. which if allowed to progress will result in increasing loss of flexibility in the chain. and increased wear.

    Is this normal!

    Is the mt125 injected?
  12. Im not sure about these... seems to have a fundamental flaw. and the only way to find out if this flaw is real is to read the instructions that come with the unit. which appears to only be possible if its purchased. so.. no.
  13. There is no spray that will waterproof a garment that is worn at speed. These sprays are designed to bead falling rain so it runs off before it has chance to penetrate at walking pace or similar slow speeds.. or in the case of a tent, at a standstill. at speed this is completely different. the rain will penetrate as the pressure is much higher, usually in those areas you would rather not get wet. they will help, but they will not make a garment proof against rain that you are hitting at 30mph and more.. if they did then there would be no need for goretex or other membranes. by far the best 'cheap' answer is to wear a waterproof over layer.. jacket and trousers that will go over your gear. that you can wear when its wet.. and not when its dry. these are not expensive, Something like this.. in the case of over trousers. https://tinyurl.com/y2nkbjqw
  14. I would never use petrol. firstly theres a risk as its so highly flammable and is it safe with O rings? Thats likely a question thats never been tested as there are so many much better solvents that are cheaper and less dangerous. It possibly dates back to that time when chains did not have O rings and cleaners could be as hash as you like. Its not worth taking the risk in either case. Use either a specific cleaner designed for O ring chains. or paraffin. and get one of these brushes. as they make the task very simple and fast.
  15. I got this. https://tinyurl.com/y2qd9dy5 i thought it was handy getting £224 off, thats unlikely to be a 'real' discount.. but the quality of the entire package is exceptional. and includes a set of spanners too
  16. Personally, I think on a motorbike forum, its not really all that interesting talking about reasons you don't ride in a topic about making riding more comfortable when you have no choice. And many on here have no choice, their bike is their only form of transport and winter is around the corner. Electric clothing is one answer.. their are others. "I use my car.." is no answer at all. And pointless for those on here who don't have a car to use.
  17. Fit a snorkel and go for a ride.
  18. you can take it anywhere.. but they must be able to stamp the service manual, use genuine parts and they must follow the procedure to the letter. I have a new bike.. and my strategy is (for the sake of simplicity) to have it serviced by the Honda dealership until the warranty runs out.. after that its rather less important. buyers.. like to see the Honda stamps, this is particularly important if you decide to sell it while its still under warranty. Or, perhaps trade-in. why not buy the service package. £375 for the first 3 services.
  19. They make it fairly clear what bikes this tyre is aimed at and they give examples. machines like the BMW R 1200 RT, BMW K 1600 GT, YAMAHA FJR 1300, HONDA PAN EUROPEAN 1300, KAWASAKI 1400 GTR, TRIUMPH TROPHY 1200 but there shouldn't be any adverse effects using them on a 500. but, probably best on the rear. or waiting until you can fit a matching pair. I would hazard a guess that it will be 'heavier' than the standard 5, which is itself a stunning tyre.

  21. Yes.. its a joke aimed at a good friend. though if he spits his darjeeling at his computer screen then that might jeopardise our friendship, somewhat.
  22. All you need now is some storage for your bike gear etc.. Ikea has the perfect solution.
  23. Front, side and rear. Close up of the number plate and a very clear photo of my face. I've never seen a speed cam on the E42/E411 Just occasional warning signs about mobile cams, and never seen those either.
  24. That's normal for a bike that's not a huge seller, it's easier to make pipes fit than, usually, have to design an end can from the ground up that will only fit a specific model. By making the pipes, it means they can use an exhaust that's used on multiple bikes. One to consider is the Scorpion. £529 for a full system, I have it on my bike and it's great.
