I actually came across this site a few times while house hunting, most memorably I was looking at a place in Ilkeston that was a stone's throw away from a council estate called Cotmanhay. I'd had a ride round a feared for my life (alright, bike) but the ilivehere page seemed to be spot on. Funnily enough it's also top hit if you search cotmanhay ilkeston Needless to say I didn't buy it. Nice garage though!

This is what I was thinking of but, like, it's supposed to have fuel in it

These bikes are built in Thailand and appear to use mostly locally-sourced parts, I just hope for my own sake the engine internals are Japanese..!

Today the replacement part arrived by Hermes (on a Sunday!!) so it was a bit more Kawasaki bashing. No prizes for guessing which bit is new and which one is old.. https://i.imgur.com/ll48RUq.jpg' alt='IMGUR>'> I extracted what was left of the bolt that had snapped for the breaker (aha good game good game) and it bolted right up with some new stainless capheads with washers underneath them and plenty of copper grease slathered all over. There was also a bracket to hold the wires in place but I didn't put it back because it seemed pointless and difficult to reinstall All that because the number plate light bulb holder rotted to death and you can't buy just the wiring and holder! Also I noticed the pin for the left rear footpeg had disappeared and the peg ready to fall out so it got bolted into place.. https://i.imgur.com/V5Xddex.jpg' alt='IMGUR>'> 3.5 years old and with 22K on the clock and it seems to be giving the distinct impression of falling apart..

VSDC because it's free and quite full featured. Not the easiest software to learn to use though!

Sometimes an unreasonable amount of force is needed.. Though you have unbolted the collar and the muffler end, right??

What makes you think you should be able to see the system software? Can you even tell what filesystem it is?

Tried to undo four bolts that hold the numberplate hanger bracket thing in place.. Managed 3.5! https://i.imgur.com/iUUad8I.jpg' alt='IMGUR>'> https://i.imgur.com/w9lah24.jpg' alt='IMGUR>'> When the hammer strikes are so loud you can hear it echoing right the way down the street #justkawasakithings

Plenty of bits available at CMSNL too but of course you'll pay top whack for the proper red bags. Hope you know which oversize you need!

Ah yes I see you haven't a clue HDD manufacturers provide their own "drive health check" utilities, for example Seagate have Seatools - you can use these utilities to check the SMART (Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology) data which the drive records over its lifetime. Alternatively you can use something like GSmartControl which is a general utility (and has a MacOS version!). Not only does the SMART data hold records of number of uncorrectable errors and all that but there are also some self-tests you can run, the extended test in GSmartControl is a good one. You don't need to read the data or format the drive to be able to test it

Pumped the tyres up and put the clock right. Big day! Perhaps I should start a workshop youtube channel. Also ran it for 10 minutes so the FI could set itself up, since it was left without a battery for a short while. I daren't venture out on to public roads just yet though, too many numpties going by people's reports.

I have the Z250SL which is the same frame. Flighty/twitchy with rock hard suspension and poor build quality, particularly the wiring. Also isn't the 125 the same weight? 145kg seems crazy heavy to me if you've got 15BHP.

It's Wednesday!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBdlScU7N6M See you all at Matlock for chips

Does the HDD pass SMART tests? Does the SMART data give you any hints that it's deaded?

Hollld up, six month extension on MOTs? I thought it was 3 months? Excellent news, let the neglect continue!

Saw this and can't stop laughing..

Sadly not, it's still firmly on the wishlist. The CB400SS even comes with a carb, rear drum and kickstart.. Perfection! Also, while I think about, I could be tempted by a late GPZ900..

Something a bit trashier.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c5rZV4C7lIw Alright, a lot trashier

The CB400SS/Mash 400/Francis Barnett 400/whatever you want to call it is very close to the old CB250RS but with the dry sump XR400 motor which would hopefully be a bit longer lived because, I assume, the main bearings are no longer just splash fed! Oh yeah and I also fancy a Cagiva Navigator but I'm quite sure I'm not tall enough

I'd be amazed if the GN125 has a vacuum operated fuel tap, my GS125 was decidedly normal/manual. I'm not sure what that other pipe would actually be though! Jadakemi96 is the carb CV or normal slide type where the cable pulls the slide up? If it's CV you are heading into a world of pain but don't let us stop you
