  1. No spare dosh and still furloughed from work since April so just waiting for them to make me redundant now. Also need money for garage/vintage hifi equipment/"furniture". Couldn't do it. I thought I'd be alright with it but after MOTing the TRX and the way the nights have started pulling in it really felt like Germany time. Like, really felt like Germany time. Ugh. Have to be a responsible adult this year though!
  2. Aaarrggghhh https://i.imgur.com/0l3JtrL.jpg' alt='IMGUR>'> [Video footage redacted] Stahp ((( Have a great time Big Man, and stay out of Switzerland and Czech Republic because they've just been added to the quarantine list
  3. Boy are you in for a surprise Especially in perma-wet Scotland! Personally I don't care much at all for stainless, give me zinc coated standard 8.8 fasteners any day. If it needs something different to that (i.e. it's actually important) then you should probably stick with the manufacturer's part..
  4. Sounds like a classic dead battery. What did you do to it to make it work for a couple of hours?
  5. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ti36edmfaZk Loving Beat Club's youtube channel right now..!
  6. The Harley is just that bad eh? Someone had to Does it come with massive/superb crash bars??
  7. There are 3 or 4 of us in Leicestershire I think.. Which bit are you in? I'm West Side (dawg).
  8. Ahh I did start scrolling quickly when it was all stove talk! If the 'rona wasn't on I'd suggest going to a camp site with cooking facilities maybe? But it'll all be closed off now. I'd still go out, even if it's just a pub up the road

The car 'expert' sounds like the clever one in this story
  10. It was a general question though, what equipment is needed, for some reason all the boy scouts on here decided to have a best-stove competition?? Eating out is on sale through August, go do that and enjoy yourselves! All you need is a big enough tent and some sturdy pegs that you can hammer into the parched ground, whether you need a hammer to do this or are man enough to use a rock is up to you. An air bed is nice because it takes up less space than a roll up foam mat but if the kit is being split between two bikes then you've got room for pretty much everything. Oh and a pillow is nice too!
  11. Book yourself in with this guy, fairest tester I've found.
  12. Clean the contacts in the switchgear? High resistance, low voltage, click..?
  13. 10w30 is indeed the norm, to the point where 10w40 is fast becoming a niche product! Love an oil thread Also never really been sold on Motul 5100, it's great for a short while and then the good stuff seems to disappear..?
  14. Still can't really tell but if the shaft is just held in place in hole #1 in the first picture then it should be as straight forward as it looks/seems. Dare I ask why you need to replace this non-consumable part?
  15. My Suzuki GS125 never missed a beat going from 10K to 20K on the clock, the biggest job was steering head bearings which is normal wear and tear. Though the mild steel exhaust did break in half the day before the MOT, that was annoying! I've had more trouble with big bikes, and the Kawasaki 250 is made very poorly by comparison.
  16. Exactly what I'm talking about.. Oh god he runs the forum what am i doing jesus christ
  17. Errr.. What does the manual say the rest of the procedure is? If the detent star and end-of-drum-movey-roundy gubbins is in there behind that first cover, and not inside the crankcases, then it shouldn't be too bad at all. But more pictures are required to know for sure.
  18. That's just how I know for a fact it's unnecessary
  19. For a long time now I've been of the opinion that you don't need any more than about 25hp for solo riding in the UK. I can only imagine that people who think they need more power derive their kicks from blasting it in a straight line and have no real idea of how to go round corners or work a gearbox. These people are also lacking in the trouser department. Change my mind
  20. Perhaps they're just tired of being sold bikes that don't come with a centre stand And maybe that they have to replace the steering head bearings on EVERY BIKE THEY'VE EVER OWNED EVER because it's a shit design that needs to be improved somehow Guess what my next job is..
  21. Honestly it never even occurs to me.. I suppose I have Hagons on the K100 and CBX250, and a pair of Konis on the CB250, none of which is declared. Just how fancy (i.e. performance enhancing) is this shock bonio??
  22. Indeed, if it's for music you might want to think about a bluetooth (or "Airplay") speaker setup - you can get some fairly meaty kit nowadays, flashy stuff like the B&W Zeppelin exists but even more run-of-the-mill bluetooth speakers are good, a guy bought a Sony thing in to work for a while and it was incredible for its size.
  23. A reminder that Slade were a real proper band and not just a one-hit-Christmas-wonder.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-E2GXTam6U
  24. Surely you should've had some vodka to go with those Russian crisps?? Anyway, is Exmoor still a race track?
