  1. My brother had a similar thing with motorcycle city years ago. Three months wait for a gift service.
  2. No it wasn't a taxi. Low miles in excellent condition. Apparently the finance companies have lost hundreds of millions of pounds as they thought EV vehicles would hold their value better. So now they are taking a dim view on pricing to not make the same mistakes again.
  3. I was watching a dealer talking about a EV Skoda Kodiaq the other day. £52,000 new. Was three years old and he was having trouble sorting finance for it. The finance companies have its value as £8000 when it's six years old. Shocking.
  4. Congratulations @Fozzie. Looks like a lovely place to get married.
  5. But then they look at you like. Why did you do that?

    Hello from newb Yogi

    Welcome to the forum Yogi.
  7. I think we have a general consensus. Return it.
  8. That's not a good sign.
  9. The reply says it all. I know not all disabilities are physical. But partaking in a disabled bay is just wrong.
  10. Could be a blocked main jet. Dirty air filter, or exhaust. If you take the carb off to clean it. Check that the slide opens all the way when you twist the throttle.

    Morning.

Welcome Steve. The GB does sound like it's ideal for you. And you are probably right. Put that engine in a cheap trail bike chassis. Honda would sell loads. I had an RD, but the later, less liked F2. Still loved it though. And then brought an even more impractical TZR250. I do love a two stroke.
  12. Bloody auto correct on my tablet is a nightmare. Always changing what you write. And usually something nothing like you typed.
  13. According to Yamaha parts catalogue. It's part number 4WP-81801-00. They only list the SR from 1997. Flowers have this. https://www.fowlersparts.co.uk/parts/4094542/sr125-3mw3-1992-999-a/demarreur-electrique But it looks like no brushes.
  14. Fowlers do an parts schematic you could have a look. But I've just spent 20minutes on there and can't see anything similar.
  15. Yeah it was. At least he should hopefully be okay. They have taken his bike away today to be assessed. He is hoping it's fixable.
  16. Not sure what they have given him. But he was in hospital for 6 hours before they have him any pain relief.
  17. Interweb gone mad.
  18. Double post.
  19. Thanks @Hairsy @billysugger he spent 10 hours yesterday in a&e. Had a scan on his foot and shoulder. Nothing broken. Just soft tissue damage. He is in a lot of pain though. What really sucks is he was supposed to go on holiday with his mates yesterday. He was so looking forward to it. Back to the boots topic. One of his leather boots had a really deep slice into it. Not quite sure what caused it. But you can imagine the damage to his foot if he was wearing trainers. He was less than half a mile from home when it happened. And only visiting the local shop. So it goes to show. Always wear gear.
  20. My son was hit by a woman pulling out of a junction yesterday. I'm so glad I have brought him up to wear all the gear. Even with new alpinestars boots his foot took some damage. He can't walk on it today. Or move his arm. He is at the hospital now to have it checked out.
  21. Welcome abroad Jess
  22. The CVT drive face has a fan on it. It can make a noise when coming off the throttle. But if it's definitely coming from the rear wheel, check the wheel for play in the bearings.
  23. I ordered a Piaggio scooter for use as my work commuter in 2019. That was delayed by six months. But I guess we all know what happened around that time. You think as a new customer who has paid for your bike. The company would be doing everything possible to make your buying experience a good one.
  24. I think Fort Nine did a thing on motorcycle safety gear standards once. He was saying that compared to the safety ratings on horse riding equipment. Motorcycle gear has an unbelievably low standard to pass.
  25. That does sound quite expensive. Could it be the age of the bandit compared to new bikes making the difference?
