  1. All the very best to the good folk on here A little late I know. Cant say its the best start of the year, wife's uncle died today. Tomorrow I will be resigning from my current position to venture into somewhere new.
  2. My Wife bought me the Keis heated gloves (she knew I had been looking for weeks) I opted for gloves instead of heated grips. On New years day, I went out for a ride, over towards Knowl Hill in Lancashire, a mixture of wind and rain, the gloves worked a treat. I also had the Keis heated Gillet, warm and toasty. I would say, if you need them, buy them. Edit: we searched for sales and discounts, none to be had so took the plunge and bought them.
  3. I'll be like we're off to the RFU party this evening for a couple of scoops
  4. I have taken a Ukulele with me, but we were in the Van
  5. Long before Smart phones and the ability to use Booking dot com on the fly, we would start looking for accommodation around 4pm, just rock up and ask, never fails.
  6. Nice bike. I hope it brings you plenty of enjoyment. I've never owned a Trumpet 800, so I cant add anything constructive, apart from, two riding pals have them and like them
  7. Took the bike out for an hour today, just to try the Keis Heated Gloves. Short trip out to Lymm Dam, back over Warburton Toll Bridge, crossing over the Manchester ship canal, through Glazebury and home. Could believe how toasty and warm these things are. Will leave cleaning the bike until next year
  8. Just book the outgoing and return crossings, either chunnel or ferry. I'll decide closer to the date where I will be going and whether or not to camp or book accommodation. Phone and Sat nav, no laptop/media pad or action cameras. Always travel as light as possible. I have the Crit air sticker, but that's about it.
  9. Off to watch the Lancashire Royals V Anti Assassins RFU A short walk to the ground and a couple of scoops while there
  10. That sounds like a mighty fine machine . I have something similar, but its the Toyota but only 3.0 V6. I had LPG fitted, so runs on both petrol and gas
  11. I had a CBR600F4, absolutely brilliant bike, toured around the alps in 2006. Probably one of the best bikes I've owned, although second to my R1.
  12. Connected the optimate today, not been out on the bike since the beginning of October.
  13. This morning was waste collection day (paper and carboard) I was out at 6.30am collecting as much of the waste paper and carboard from the wheelie bins that had been left out the night before and had blown into the middle of the street, paper and carboard everywhere. I managed to clean a fair chunk of it up before anyone else came out. Some of the neighbours were oblivious to what had happened.
  14. I bought one of those for the KTM 890, best accessory I've bought for it. The KTM890 screen is probably the worst out there (well, maybe not as bad as the Tracer 9GT) Took a while to set it up properly, but what a difference it makes
  15. If I can have a favourite hill, it has to be Fish Hill Glad you're enjoying the new bike, I must admit, if I was going for a road bike, it would be the Guzzi. I've not had a set of PAGT2, more of a Michelin fanboy, and after having a set of PR6s, nothing else seems to come close
  16. So far, Planning 3 nights accommodation in France (Motel/Hotel) and 3 nights in Switzerland (Camping) all that could change yet.
  17. No Rugby this weekend for us, so, tickets sorted for Man Utd v Liverpool (Women's Super league) on Sunday
  18. One reason I have a deep repugnance for mainstream media and pathetic twitter style journalism. It would appear, Clickbait scaremongering is a requirement of the job now.
  19. Good Evening, but what a shitty evening it is over in the Shire
