1. We had open plan when I worked in London many years ago and we had fewer work stations than staff to force use to be out at clients earning chargeable hours. If one didn’t get in by 7:00am you didn’t have anywhere to work. Fortunately I spent most of the time abroad and lived not far from the office on the rare times I was in London.
2. Well, nobody could accuse you of taking the easy way out No. the easy way out would be to take it to the nearest recyling centre and ask them to put it in a skip.
3. If you are doing the 2 days of training on the larger bike prior to the MOD 1 and MOD 2 tests then you should get enough experience to handle said bike for the tests. As above most people find the larger bikes are more stable and easier to ride. I have never ridden an automatic but I would think it should be pretty straight forward and you don't have a clutch or the possibility of it stalling to worry about. As the tests and training are all booked go for it and enjoy. You can always go back to do the tests later on manual bike if you ever desire, obviously at extra cost. The Honda bikes with DCT (automatic) are well spoken of so you should be able to get one that suits you.
4. Just one problem: Wife. Just say that it is necessary for increased safety.
5. Well done Rik398 . I passed my IAM Advanced Rider on Saturday and the examiner suggested I look at doing the IAM Masters if I wanted to improve my skills further. Blood bikes is an option I am considering and some areas certainly allow use of your own bike on certain conditions, listed on national blood bikes website.

9. That is obviously the ideal solution but in a work environment not always achievable. Neither is going into work pissed in most places Yes unfortunately the heady days of the 80's excesses are no longer acceptable

11. Get the best you can afford has always been my philosophy
12. I'd use an external stand on the Street Triple. Trying to fit a centre stand would defeat the whole purpose of the design of this bike.
13. Well done, saved another appliance going to landfill
14. Have you read the manual that came with the bike?
15. Crikey that’s going to need its own room
16. Over 20 years for me and I agree with you on that score.

20. I use this but already have plenty so let go to someone in need.
21. Nice. You might be tempted to swap it after 500 miles as others have done.
22. You did know that Triumph are bringing out an upgraded version of the Street Triple didn’t you.
23. I borrowed one of those when my Tiger was in for its 12k service. I was sorely tempted.
