  2. Oh and getting your thrills on track days rather than the public highway. Though filtering through traffic is one of the greatest pleasures of biking.
  3. try Hood Jeans, but you are right in that they are much thicker than normal jeans and warmer due to the kevlar and other linings.
  4. From one of the wise guys here: "there are old bikers and there are bold bikers, but there are no old bold bikers" Biking is dangerous, but you can mitigate the risks by training, anticipation, good gear and taking it easy. Oh and using the car when conditions become too bad.
  5. I have found that Outlast base layers are just brilliant.
  6. Yes one has to be very fit to play squash. Too many old men have had heart attack’s attempting to keep going for my liking
  7. The CBT should be extended to all bicycles. And force a number plate and 3rd party insurance on them to take them on a public highway
  8. Yes, I haven’t watched tv for months- it is far too depressing and most programs are just rubbish. I’ve even got fed up with watching Attenborough shoving the climate change stuff down our throats all the time.
  9. I use a CTEK on the cars and the Oxford maximiser on the bike. Never had a problem starting any of them.

  15. That is a very good philosophy.. The only thing a flashing indicator tells you is that the lamp is working. You should always assume it never conveys anything about the driver/riders intentions until they have actually committed to the turn.
  16. That is why additional advanced driving & riding courses should mandatory every ten years up to sixty and every five up to eighty and every year thereafter. Year boundaries should be at the discretion of GP.
  17. pop in to your local J&S store - they have much budget gear.

  19. well one has to rub off those chicken strips, especially on teh wonderful roads on my doorstep.
  20. I’ll let you know as I’m currently at Youles in Manchester having the electric Scott oiler fitted to my Tiger.
  21. As above. I often take a very twisted route to and from work on the bike that I wouldn’t dream of doing in the car.
  22. Hi Stu.... AFAIK... I've only ever had one bike with a tip over sensor.......please remember I'm an old git..... So bit of string tied to the rubber band and the other to your jacket. As you fall off the string will pull the band, the band will snap and the throttle close. Genius idea. Heath Robinson would be proud of this solution.
  23. Hood jeans are fantastic and British made.
