1. They are so you can run a cable to your tent to charge phone and perhaps a small light.
2. So are bikes and thats where I would rather spend my money But very few bikes appreciate in value like a quality watch does.
3. People generally don't buy them to tell the time accurately, though they are generally pretty good , your phone or a quartz watch are far more accurate. They are bought because they are beautiful pieces of engineering excellence and a joy to own.
4. And there was I thinking it was only people from Yorkshire and Scotland that were tight fisted.
5. Bit of a grey area this. I was always told to ride for myself and the examiner would sort themselves out. But I have also heard that if they can’t catch up with you to see you how can they examine you. I guess the only thing you could have done would be to wait for the examiner to catch up. When you do the retest it would be worth clarifying the examiner’s position on this before you start. Same with filtering, if the examiner hasn’t got room to filter cos they are on an 8’ BMW what do they want you to do.
6. My arse never looked like that and is definitely better hidden in Hood jeans.
7. Nikolas I suggest that you are wasting your time and that it would be better spent getting more practice and as above do test in different area.
8. Yes they are as bad as Audi owners
9. I'd be interested in the outcome as I have a pair of Daytona boots myself

fair enough. But I have never planned a whole route to "save time" or even used way points. I just go to a place and then stop for a cuppa and go to the next one. I'm never in such a hurry that I have to have the whole route in one go.

most sat navs I've ever used have the ability to restrict the use of motorways. Certainly Waze, Apple Maps, Google maps and my 15 year old Garmin allow you to navigate without using motorways. The function is often buried in sub menus somewhere.
15. Talks to say Satellite navigation system, phone, passengers, other riders
16. ^^^^^ as above, this will save a lot of grief in the long term
17. Yes new tyre not scrubbed in, wet road and diesel is a recipe for disaster. The best you could have done would be to scrub tyres in and ride over affected area slowly without putting any inputs into bike, i.e. no braking, acceleration or steering adjustments. PS: I hope you were ok.
18. I expect he'll swap that when the new model comes out shortly.
19. well done @Mike79 onwards and upwards
20. why would any of us want to fight someone we have never met?
21. you just use the rear brake. There is no clutch to slip. The bike sorts itself out. It's an automatic.
