  1. your own insurance company should be dealing with this
  2. This happened to me a couple of times today, just farm stuff on the road. Ease off on the curves. Tyres aren't new are they? Also cooler temps mean tyres take longer to get warm up and get grippy.
  3. No worries. I can't do 13th as I'm off down south to visit my mum. Let's see what the weather is like for 20th
  4. Contact lenses are the way to go. They have transformed my biking. As above there is a long thread on this topic.
  5. How about this Saturday (6th) for lunch. Forecast is for showers but that could change for better or worse.
  6. I would have another Harley Fatboy to keep in the garage and just look at it. It would rarely get ridden as keeping them clean is such a bore. For riding I would have one with a shaft drive, probably a BMW
  7. neither, I'm happy with the Tiger as it is thanks
  8. Let alone the blood alcohol level still being well in excess of the legal limit.
  9. I'm game as it's only 70 miles from me, when were you thinking?
  10. The Bikesafe course with your local police force is a great way to pick up advanced riding techniques without going through the whole IAM/ROSPA training. For £25 it is one of the best value courses you can do.
  11. I’d go but I don’t have a bow tie or pipe
  12. Me too
  13. Because I just bought a converter, mike return it and get the correct one
  14. Why not just get a SAE lead connected directly to the battery, Do away with the little white connection altogether and one less connection to go wrong.
  15. Arranging group holidays is like herding cats.
  16. Great idea but I shall be looking after my 93 year old mum, if she makes it that far.
  17. I use Wurths chain lube. But I'm considering getting a Scott Oiler as I can't stand the messing around with chains business.
  18. Poole Quay might have been gentrified in the last three years.
  19. When you’ve got to go you’ve got to go. Horses, or any other animal, are no different. You’re bike just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Wash it off and put the anger aside.
  20. Yes I had a nice ride around my favourite routes in the glorious Peak District - Long Hill, Cat and Fiddle, Winnerts Pass etc. A great day to be on the bike. Lots of others bikers out as well - neck aches from all the nodding.
  21. Motorcycle riding is not a cheap hobby.
  22. Hello and welcome, I can't help but it would be helpful if you could provide more details of bike, e.g. age, model, etc, so that others could help
  23. sorry I can't make today. Too many things to do that have been put off by the awful weather recently.
  24. Whatever security you put on the insurance quote will be expected to be used every time you leave the bike. So if you put that you have an extremely heavy 16mm chain because you use one in the garage you will be expected to use this all the time. Better to put on the insurance quote what you will actually carry around with you plus alarm and/or DataTag if both fitted. Then for your own piece of mind secure to the 16mm chain when it is at home.
