6. Well done Pegfiend
7. Sorry should have said. At 12:30 No queue, so served immediately. Had haddock and chips. The thing that disappointed me was that the tray was mostly filled with batter shrapnel with a few chips sprinkled over and the fish on top. The fish was lovely. But the rest I threw away.
8. Heated grips and Rukka Arogsaurus gloves kept my hands warm all last winter
9. well now! From Stockport it was about 125 mile round trip. The riding to day was absolutely fantastic. Woodhead Pass on the way over and Snake Pass on the way back. The trees are a glorious colour and haven't shed their leaves all over the road yet , well not too many anyway. The weather was perfect for biking - 22 degrees coming back over the Snake Pass. Interesting that the reservoirs are still very low. The Upton Chippy is interesting as Speedy says. But was it worth going over there? Not really. There are far better chippies round here, e.g. the Toll Bar chippy at Stoney Middleton. But for a ride out in our glorious Autumn the passes over the Peak District can't really be beaten. And if you are out on teh bike you need to stop somewhere for lunch so Upton is as good a place as any.
10. It is actually Baron Von Grumble, look on inter web, but the other moniker above is far more appropriate
11. I'm going to the chippy for lunch today
12. Well done Tomspark93

14. Hi Ed Orange I use this one for my Tiger 800: https://tinyurl.com/y9ssoag8
15. I use a D lock where there is anything to attach the bike to, otherwise I put it through the front forks. You may have the same problem of carrying it though.
16. Easier and minimal confusion by just saying “friend”
17. Hello and welcome
18. I expect someone will be along who can help.
19. Hello and welcome. Can’t help with bike though, sorry
20. I thought I might do some local riding and a bit of slow speed practice.
21. Yes, but I was watching the F1 from 06:00 and now need some breakfast.
22. I’ll be out today but there is no way I’m going anywhere before 11:00.
23. Like the car tests the riding tests are pretty straight forward or even simple and designed to demonstrate that you can be safe on the road. The real learning comes after the tests have been passed. As long as one realises that one is not suddenly a Valentino Rossi as soon as one passes the test and take your learning progression at a sensible pace then you’ll be fine.
24. Nice and dry today
