1. brake fluid should be replaced every two years minimum, probably more often if you are riding more aggressively
2. Also worth reading Total Control and/or Twist of the Wrist, both available on Amazon.
3. Screw fix, tool station, RBS components, cpc, take your pick.
4. I recommend the Ron Haslam track training, see my thread here somewhere. Great fun , great experience and very tiring so drive to Donington rather than take your bike.
5. Excellent MarkW = keep the pressure on. I have seen so many small firms destroyed by multi-nationals and governments not paying their bills on time.
6. Curious as to why it needed a new engine at such low mileage
7. DON’T PUT A BET ON THAT
8. gulls and pigeons have rights too
9. You're not thinking of Nitroglycerine are you?......A la World's Fastest Indian........ That would make it go like a bomb
10. wouldn't dream of doing any servicing on cars or bikes. That is what garages are for. I will just about lube the chain, but I'd get a garage to do that if there was one local.
11. Take a trip to Machine Mart, they do large spanners at sensible prices.
12. I guess those interested in football have better things to do than look at TMBF
13. There are 2 at sykeside campsite T Total for eight years now but I'm sure they do good food , thanks anyway. Food is the only reason I would go to a pub, as I haven't touched alcohol for over 20 years.
14. Great pub at top of Kirkstone Pass
15. Not necessary. GMP regularly set up road blocks on all the main roads around Manchester and pull over everybody without insurance, no VED, bald tyres, suspected terrorists, people eating, smoking and using their phones etc.
16. What was it like and how much was it? Would love to get into track days when I'm more confident. Do they cater to track beginners? Been in a car just not on a bike. ... Write up on post number22 in this thread: https://www.themotorbikeforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=66045
17. I'm watching the TMBF, far more interesting
18. I went on a Ron Haslam track day back in April and they didn't bother with the rear brakes at all. But track riding is a little different to road riding.
19. See post #3
20. Lovely women as well
21. Hello and welcome
22. Hello and welcome, eBay would be a good start or google
23. Excellent write up and well done on the pass. What bike are you getting?
24. @fastbob This is my control center as some friends call it Each peg is a photo location, there was 277 at start of year. There is still 54 white pegs that you can't see. Trouble is we live at Red pin at bottom of map!!!IMG_20180629_125445279.jpg I always wondered how pin manufacturers kept going, as their business model seems rather restrictive in the age of sat navs. Now I know.
25. There are bold riders and there are old riders. But there are never old bold riders.
